Proposed deletion of Oh the firefly edit

The article Oh the firefly has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely unsourced. Notability fails WP:NSONG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. May 2013 edit

Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:DragonflySixtyseven ‎ may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. Thank you. INeverCry 17:14, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Life Goes On - U-ya Asaoka edit

I understand that GranSazer wiki is not as strict with copyright as Wikipedia, but you can't post copyrighted lyrics wholesale to a Wikipedia article. (See the copyright policy; posting the entire text of a song goes well beyond the non-free content/fair use exception.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 18:39, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Once again, you can't post copyrighted lyrics to a Wikipedia article (it is unlikely that the producers of Chouseishin Gransazer have released the song under the CC-BY-SA license). Neither can you demand that other users do not edit your article; to the contrary, it is the basic principle of Wikipedia that articles can be subsequently edited.

I have also noted that the article cites no third-party references. (No, a fan wiki is not a reliable source.) As such, its notability (see the inclusion/notability guidelines) is questionable at best - I have nominated the article for deletion. See the deletion debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Life Goes On - U-ya Asaoka. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:11, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Removing AfD template edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Life Goes On - U-ya Asaoka. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  17:30, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

August 2013 edit

Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You cannot mark images you find on the Internet as your own work. That designation applies exclusively to content you created yourself. As a result, some of your uploads to Commons have been marked for deletion because they are copyright violations. August 2013 rollback edit

Hi I just undid your recent edits to Rabindranath Tagore. Wikipedia generally is not about collecting quotes about or by people. For that, you probably will want to go to wikiquote or wikisource. I am sorry for inconveniencing you or anything, and know that I may very well be wrong about this, if you have any issues, and you can certainly contact me if you want to discuss it. edit:fixed links

In response to your reply: ok, that's fine. There probably wasn't all that much reason to specifically involve your edit, but I still feel like in general there may be too many quotes in that article. Of course, it is a featured article, so I'm probably wrong about that, too. We'll see what comes of it over time, I guess. I certainly don't want to get into an edit-war over it. --anamedperson (talk) 14:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
