Invitation to join WP:RRTF edit

Hello, Arijeet Patil! I'd like to invite you to join the Rick Riordan Task Force (formerly the "Percy Jackson" Task Force) of WikiProject Novels. We work to improve articles related to Rick Riordan and his books. You have made some very substantial edits to List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson, among other articles. Although most of your edits simply removed wikilinks, your dedication is appreciated. It would be beneficial to all if you considered working within the task-force, so that you and other editors could coordinate your efforts and avoid accidentally undoing each others' work. (I have seen it happen before.) Please, check out our project page or contact me to learn more! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 20:04, 6 February 2017 (UTC) Reply

February 2017 edit

Hello, I'm AdventurousSquirrel. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Draco Malfoy, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Please note that the verifiability policy mandates that unsourced material that has been challenged, such as by a "fact" tag, or by its removal, may not be added back without a reliable, published source being cited for the content, using an inline citation. The cited source must clearly support the material as presented in the article, and the burden is on the person wishing to keep in the disputed material. So if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so, following these requirements! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Hello, I'm AdventurousSquirrel. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Death Eater without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Places in Harry Potter, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Death Eater to List of supporting Harry Potter characters (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:14, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan edit

Hi there, Arijeet Patil. Just letting you know why I reverted your edit to List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan. This is the second time you've attempted to remove the character Percy Jackson from this list, presumably because he has his own page. I see your point. However, he still belongs on the comprehensive list of characters - albeit with an abbreviated description. We want readers with no background on the series to be able to find a list of all the characters in one place. The same is true for Carter Kane. If you still feel that the entry for Jackson on the full list is inappropriate, you may try shortening his entry somewhat. You may also leave a post on Talk:List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan or my own talk page if you'd like to discuss this matter further. Thanks! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 18:54, 27 February 2017 (UTC) (Please either leave a Talkback on my talk page or ping me if you respond here.)Reply

@Arijeet Patil: -- Once again, Arijeet Patil, I have restored the page to its previous version. I abbreviated the section; it's now half the length of any other main character's section. PLEASE, read and respond to this message before you take any further action. I have no desire to get in an edit war with you or take this before arbitration. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 06:02, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for generally disruptive editing and an apparent refusal to communicate. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: .  Beeblebrox (talk) 19:56, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock|reason= I sincerely apologise for any disruptive edits, errors or trouble I've caused. I didn't intend to make the edits disruptive. I thought I was only removing overlinking in Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter) on the Marauders (Harry Potter), James Potter (character), Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, and that I was only correcting the naming structure of the characters. I apologise for removing the point about Aberforth Dumbledore leaving the order, because I thought it would be miner information. My removals and copying to List of Supporting Harry Potter Characters of some characters on Death Eater were only because the characters in question, like Severus Snape (who also has his own page), Regulus Black and Lucius Malfoy betrayed Voldemort in the end with Snape having played an important part as a double-agent for the good side, and because Draco Malfoy also has his own page and turned against Voldemort in the end along with his family - besides, there was no text in his section. I apologise for removing Augustus Rookwood by mistake in the process of removing Lucius and for removing the Ministry of Magic from Places in Harry Potter because it has its own page. I also apologise for refusing to communicate, as I am a schoolchild of 13 and had my 7th grade final exams going on, with my friends coming to my house in the early part of my vacation. I will be more active on Wikipedia from now on. what should I try to avoid while editing? Percy Jackson (talk) 06:22, 4 March 2017 (UTC)}}.

Regarding your emails edit

The reason your are blocked from making further appeals either here or via UTRS for the next 6 months is to 1) give yourself time to (hopefully) mature and 2) to prove to the community that you can abide by their standards by staying away for a specific amount of time and (perhaps) proving yourself elsewhere. See standard offer. Note also that accounts cannot be deleted; you can simply stop editing. Do not create additional accounts while blocked, however, as that will only delay any possible return.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:32, 2 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Each time you evade your block the clock resets. The earliest you can appeal your block is December 5, 2017.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:29, 5 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Regarding your email - you cannot edit Wikipedia under any account or IP as long as this account remains blocked. You, the individual sitting at the computer, is blocked from editing until such a time as the block is lifted no matter where you are editing from.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:52, 7 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Again, regarding your emails, the reason your IP has a set limit on the block expiry is that we don't block IPs indefinitely. At some point your IP address will likely change so there is no benefit in blocking indefinitely. Since you still state that you don't understand what you are being told about being blocked I will again attempt to make it crystal clear: You can never edit Wikipedia under any account or IP unless and until you successfully appeal the block of this account. The only possible way you could achieve a successful appeal would be to follow the standard offer. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 15:39, 8 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
