April 2023

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to John P. Stenbit: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Just a suggestion from me to count how many times the user has been warned so that other editors can take actions accordingly. Thank you, Happy editing! NP83 (talk) 21:59, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, but I've got Twinkle so I have them already. Since I do some editing at work, I got distracted and forgot to add the notice.   ArcAngel   (talk) 23:53, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KJTB-LD

Please undo your close at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KJTB-LD, it violates WP:NACD and WP:BADNAC per the Do not close discussions in which you have offered an opinion, or for a page in which you have a vested interest (i.e. a page that you have edited heavily). and you clearly offered an opinion. AFDs

Hello, ArcAngel,

Thank you for relisting AFD discussions when they are unresolved and it is appropriate to do so. Lately, there have been fewer participants and patrolling admins going through AFD discussions (summer vacations?) and I get concerned when I'm the only editor who is doing the relisting. It's nice to see other editors like you and CycloneYoris helping out. Thank you for your contributions. Liz Read! Talk! 00:32, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the kind words. I try to do what I can.  :-)   ArcAngel   (talk) 02:16, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Katharine Butler Hathaway

Hello, ArcAngel,

FYI, you draftified this article because you state it had been declined at AFC but I looked at the page history and didn't see that it had ever been declined. In fact there is an edit summary that states it "completed AFC". And even if it had been declined by an AFC reviewer, the page creator can still move it to main space (although it's not advised) unless there is a COI or paid editing involved or the article had been previously deleted at an AFD. It's recommended that editors use AFC but that is just so they are given ample time to work on an article and make it unlikely it will be tagged for deletion...but AFC is not mandatory for anyone but paid editors. Sorry if I caused any undue workload. I am trying to get more involved and thought that I would try clearing the backlog at Category:AfC_topic_used_in_wrong_namespace. Apparently I still have a lot of Wiki-learning to do.   ArcAngel   (talk) 04:43, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Magale

Hello, Thank you for your concern about that film. However there is a strong consensus that a film with 2 reviews may be considered rather notable, specially when it received other coverage (such as the article in The Hindu). I mentioned this in a precedent edit summary. I am therefore removing the tag(s) again. Should you disagree, feel free to take the page to Deletion discussion. Thank you. Also please note, as another user has mentioned on another page, that one notability tag is enough. Thank you. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 08:25, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Strong consensus from who?   ArcAngel   (talk) 20:43, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello,
Answer: among participants in Film Afds. See two, randomly chosen, if you wish, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bhargavacharitham Moonam Khandam, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Bandido_(2004_film)...-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 21:00, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Airports in the Republic of Artsakh

A tag has been placed on Category:Airports in the Republic of Artsakh indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 22:25, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

James Mason (wrestler)

Hi, you previously participated in a deletion debate for this article which was deleted due to not enough RS. I have found some more sources for this article and would appreciate it if you could contribute to the follow up discussion at User talk:Sionk#James Mason (wrestler). Thank you.
