Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to User profile. This is a simple mistake to make and by now should have been corrected. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talkpages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. — Swpb talk contribs 04:05, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mylogon edit

The article Mylogon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to meet Wikipedia notability guidelines

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Guy Macon (talk) 17:28, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

No worries, I'll flag it for immediate deletion. Seemed like a good idea for an article at the time but the sf page now shows very few downloads. --Anteaus (talk) 19:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't fit the criteria for speedy, but proposed deletion does the same thing, with the added advantage of giving anyone who wants it kept a chance to oppose the proposed deletion. Cheers! Guy Macon (talk) 20:02, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

May 2011 edit

Hi Anteaus. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Mylogon, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Reverting and changing in the same edit edit

Please don't do that. It is very hard to follow. As you can see at Greenhouse effect I liked some of your changes, but because they were in the same post as a lot of new text and refs it was hard to tease out in the revert war, and EVEN HARDER when you make further changes under the "revert" label. I'm sure that was unintended, but it could mislead people into thinking you're trying to sneak something in. So please don't do that. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 20:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
