It is a long-standing naming convention that U.S. cities are at City, State. There are a very few exceptions, such as New York City. Please discuss such moves that are contrary to conventions before implementing. olderwiser 23:15, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

This has been debated at great length in the past. You are welcome to try again (that is, only if you really enjoy acrimonious debates), but the established convention is clear. olderwiser 23:19, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Please review Wikipedia:Naming conventions (city names) and the talk page and archives (and various links therein). The nub of it is for consistency. There are many tens of thousands of articles out there in this format, all with multiple links and redirects. Editors (at least conscientious editors that bother to stay around awhile) know to use that form to create links to U.S. cities. olderwiser 23:28, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Vote on city naming convention! edit

Hi Answar. I noticed your comment on the Chicago, I mean Chicago, Illinois (groan) Talk page inquiring about the name. Excellent question. Check out the voting that just started on this issue: Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (city names). --Serge 08:18, 6 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Toronto, Ontario edit

Hello. Since you moved Toronto to Toronto, Ontario it has broken the images used in the City infobox. Since you moved it could you see your way to fixing these on the article. Ben W Bell 14:10, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've reverted your page move. This is the second time you've done this, and neither time was there any discussion about it on the Toronto talk page. In fact, the opposite move was discussed and supported last year. Mindmatrix 01:51, 20 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
