March 2023 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 04:27, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

But...I did cite a source. I cited the Mormon Church's official website that stated their support. Why did you remove this @General Ization?I am not a member of the church, I am not biased. Anonomyssteven (talk) 00:33, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh wait, you're right, I forgot to cite. I will fix that Anonomyssteven (talk) 00:36, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for supplying the citation. However, I don't agree with your claim that the citation verifies that "in 2022, the church officially supported the Respect for Marriage Act, which advanced same-sex marriage in the United States", as that implies that LDS supported the passage of the Act. At no place in the LDS statement does it state that it supports/supported the passage of the RFMA. What it says is "We are grateful for the continuing efforts of those who work to ensure the Respect for Marriage Act includes appropriate religious freedom protections while respecting the law and preserving the rights of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters." That does not say that they support the RFMA; it simply says they support the efforts of those who ensure that the RFMA contains "appropriate religious freedom protections". Please remove or correct your contribution. General Ization Talk 01:08, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I replaced the citation. Feel free to let me know if it does not suffice @General Ization. Anonomyssteven (talk) 21:10, 22 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
