Help request

Hi Animum,

I need your help with something I can't quite deal myself. Here is the thing:

I am one of the sysops of Turkish Wikipedia (and an occassional contributor here). We had been commonly using a block script until the changes to the blocking interface. After that the script went to trash, since its maintainer has not been active for a long time. Anyway, I recently started to look for a replacement, and your brilliant script was obviously the first choice. I copied the content of the script to tr.wp for a quick test (which is always the first step. if everything goes right, then comes the localization step. and attribution is never forgotten of course). The script worked perfectly, but somehow it affected our common deletion script, which is the problem I need your help with.

Feel free to look at the deletion script I am referring to. Normally all the tabs you see listed on that page are loaded with no problems whatsoever. But when I include your script in my .js file, which is currently located here, then only four or five tabs are loaded per namespace.

I actually have absolutely no programming knowledge, but I can easily work my way around existing codes and maintain several scripts that are used commonly by our community, but this problem is way too complicated for me. I was wondering if you could take a look at these files and help me resolve this problem so that I can encourage other sysops to use your script or even install it as a gadget.

I look forward to hearing from you. Your quick response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hm. Does anything appear in the Error Console (Tools→Error Console)? Does this only happen when you try to delete pages in the User or User_talk namespaces, or does it happen to all of them? —Animum (talk) 17:22, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Hey Animum,
I saw your edits on tr.wp and decided to check out your contributions here, which is when I saw your response to my message. Thanks for caring, but I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a copy on my talk page.
Error console was a great idea. There were a couple of scripts (or lines thereof) that produced error reports. I removed them one by one. Currently only Common.css is filling the list, there are no other errors on the list, but I still have the same problem. I also realized that addition of your script disabled Pathoschild's TemplateScript as well.
Regarding your question, I see only 3 or 4 tabs regardless of the namespace.
As a person with no programming knowledge whatsoever, I am guessing that your script somehow limits the amount of top-of-the-page tabs (please don't laugh if my theory is absolutely unrealistic :). It just seems weird to me that the deletion template is still functional, but only partially.
I see that you have done some tests yourself. How did it go? I'm sure you've seen it, but the deletion script is actually backed up by this script.
I want to able to benefit from your script, but the deletion script is something that my fellow sysops would never think of abandoning (due to its handiness and all). I must find a way to ensure that they can coexist. Pathoschild's script is also heavily used so it would be absolutely great if we could make them function in harmony.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Cheers
