August 2007 edit

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Anime. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is your last warning.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Anime, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. --Farix (Talk) 20:53, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I need some one to look into the editing going on the Anime page, looks like some one thinks they have themselves an empire and they are going to decide who gets an external link. I have a worthy addition to the external links of the Anime page and it keeps getting deleted by some people that have obviously been doing this for a while. I think this is what is holding Wikipedia down, abusive groups of people using the rules for their own gain. Please look in to this when you get a chance, thanks!

Decline reason:

You were spamming and edit warring. Denied. — IrishGuy talk 21:07, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Coming from someone linking to his own website, that's a strange argument. Please read our Conflict of Interest and External Links guidelines. Your username is also a violation of our username policy because it is promotional. -- lucasbfr talk 21:10, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Misinterpretaion of spam link edit

Sorry, the link you are trying to promote, your username and your attitude towards other editors violate several Wikipedia policies, including WP:LINKSPAM, WP:UN and WP:CIVIL. You have a snowball's chance in hell to be unblocked now. Reinistalk 21:08, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK edit

Oh so I should have a friend or create another account to add in my external link, if those are the rules I can do that. I will change my name even though it does not have a .com in it so how it could be interpreted as promotion I guess thats up to interpretation. As far as war editing goes I really can't see any one believing that some one trying to add relevant information to Wikipedia is some how war editing, maybe the 3 people that obviously acted in a concerted effort to have it removed and me banned could be considered hostile??? I will push this all the way to the top. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Animetreehouse (talkcontribs) 21:16, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Having someone related to you putting the link is a clear violation of WP:COI. Please discuss any link addition on the article's talk page prior of adding it. -- lucasbfr talk 21:20, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Your site will just get blacklisted and your friend or you blocked again. I suggest you do read the policies after all. Reinistalk 21:22, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Anime has also been {{NoMoreLinks}} flagged for over a year because of link spam. So any new links must be discussed on the talk page first. However, because your link goes to a website that engages in copyright violations by providing links to fansub torrents, it would not be permitted on the list to begin with. But if linking to torrent websites were permitted, we would only link to AnimeSuki because that would be the more value added and prominent website. --Farix (Talk) 21:29, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
