Image copyright problem with Image:Avalogo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Avalogo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

userpage vandalism edit

It's a semi-common userbox on RC patroller's pages. An RC patroller will frequently stumble on a vandal-only account, start reverting all of that person's edits, and then be targeted for vandalism by that person. I haven't been doing RC patrolling for that long, but some people that have been patrolling for a year or more have had their pages vandalized dozens of times. Copyright violation in Alabama Great Southern Railroad edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Alabama Great Southern Railroad, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Alabama Great Southern Railroad is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Alabama Great Southern Railroad, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. That split wasn't exactly what I had in mind (I had a template that would have made that entire list you made in your sandbox into five columns to reduce clutter, but anyways...), but I did notice the Chronological list of recordings made at Abbey Road Studios list. What I could do is merge both of these lists into one list that can be sortable by both date and band name (for example about how this works, see List of NES games, which does exactly what I am talking about). I'll try to get around to it when I can. Thank you, MuZemike 05:58, 23 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ydjm edit

You did exactly the right thing when blanking the page Ydjm. Wikipedia will not tolerate pages meant solely to attack or insult real, living people, and by blanking a page containing such an attack you have guaranteed the edit summary of the deletion does not contain any part of the page's former contents. JIP | Talk 23:37, 28 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

thank you, I will keep that in mind when considering blanking pages in the future.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tōru Sakai edit

Hi Andyzweb - just to let you know that I think something went awry during the creation of the above AfD: your nomination rationale is missing. Gonzonoir (talk) 14:07, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gonzonoir what would I need to do to correct the issue, I am relatively new to the AfD process, in fact I think this is my first Nomination.
Where you put {{text}} on the AfD page (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tōru Sakai), you should instead provide a reason why you think the page should be deleted. Kind regards, SpitfireTally-ho! 20:50, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looking for a mentor? edit

{{helpme}} I am looking to take the article Hammond Organ and make it a candidate for featured article or something like that. What needs to be worked on to get it to that point? andyzweb (talk) 14:54, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User details how to find yourself a mentor; Wikipedia:Featured article criteria details what's necessary to have an article rated as featured; there's a similar, less demanding process for Good Article, and for any article you can ask for a WP:Peer review. no fucking clue edit

I have no clue where to go. There are just too many hoops chutes and ladders in order to do anything around here I want to report User talk:24.72.1.68 for repeated vandalism. so {{adminhelp}} please.

WP:AIV is the appropriate route, but I've gone ahead and blocked anonymous editing from that IP address for a good long while. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 17:43, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
