Bonnie and Clyde

User:AndyZHey Andy, I saw that you added reference links to a couple of the direct quotes I (AND OTHERS) had referenced in the Bonnie and Clyde article, and I would like you to, if you would be so kind, to do the same for a couple more I added this am, and in the ambush Hinton wrote in his book Bonnie uttered "one long horrified scream" as this happened - all quotes are sourced exactly below, but for some reason, my computer would not make the link. I would appreciate it. That article is MASSIVELY sourced but some do need linking, which for some reason, I am having trouble doing. Any fact you need the direct info on which to link to, please just ask me. Your skills are evidently better than mine, and evidently your computer too, lol. This is one of the most heavily sourced articles on the net, due to the controversy surrounding it, but it does need some direct linking I am unable to do. I am NOT interested in a POV piece, i think you were right that my attempt to reword information was not acceptable, if controversial topics are covered, the sourcing has be precise. Direct quotes are a good way to address that. Actually, i think the article is already much improved with what you pointed out needed changing - and if you look, as I know you have, every word you identified as weasal was pulled at once, and where it addressed a fact, the true facts from impeccable sourcing was submitted. Look, the bottom line here is for 72 years people have debated this issue - my only concern is making sure all those issues are included. I agree with you, let us first identify any FACTS IN DISPUTE, and go from there. THANKS FOR YOUR INVALUABLE HELP SO FAR. By the way, although I honestly do believe, from my history with him, that My2Cents is pushing a POV, i hope you notice I honored my own promise that if one person came there and said it was improper, those comments would be removed. My word is good, I am just trying to write the TRUTH, with no slant. Hey there. Congratulations, you've just been made a sysop! You've volunteered to do housekeeping duties that normal users sadly cannot participate in. Sysops can't do a lot of stuff: They can't delete pages just like that (except junk like "LALALALAL*&*@#@THIS_SUXX0RZ"), and they can't protect pages in an edit war they are involved in. But they can delete random junk, ban anonymous vandals, delete pages listed on Votes for deletion (provided there's a consensus) for more than one week, protect pages when asked to, and keep the few protected pages that exist on Wikipedia up to date.

Almost anything you can do can be undone, but please take a look at The Administrators' how-to guide and the Administrators' reading list before you get started (although you should have read that during your candidacy ;). Take a look before experimenting with your powers. Also, please add Administrators' noticeboard to your watchlist, as there are always discussions/requests for admins there. Speedy Delete / Possible "On Wheels" Vandal

AndyZ, I noted you speedy deleted an article by User:Zez-Kai Ell, Zephram Stark. Around the same time you speedied the page, I placed a WoW tag on him for his page moves to On Wheels pages (see his user contribution page for his history). He has just reopened the page you speedied with another nonsense page even after my addition of the WoW tag. Although I am not an admin, isn't the addition of the WoW tag supposed to block his screenname? Just curious, as I don't know who's attention to bring this vandalism to since I've done what I could with the WoW addition. Thanks! --Ataricodfish 18:23, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer. I was a little confused as, per the on wheels page, it gives the impression that adding the WoW label creates the block, and I couldn't locate any additional steps stating that an Admin needed to be involved. As the vandal went onto editing the pages of other users after my WoW notice, as well as reverting the page you deleted, I wanted to ensure he didn't continue his "spree of terror". Vandalism comment

Re: [1]. Please be a little more careful in the future. Fortunately, he stopped vandalizing on his own. He was given test4 with this reversion [2]. After that time, he continued to vandalize for another 12 minutes (3 additional times). Giving test4 and then having him vandalize several more times without a block sends the wrong message. Re: User:Jsmith's block

The block had nothing to do with removing messages from his talk page. He was blocked for page move vandalism and unblocked on a technicality. The edits to Sailor Moon media and release information consisted of him repeatedly reinserting a depreciated template and removing another, despite the purposes of both being explained to him numerous times. If you want to unblock him, you are free to do so, but I expect you to deal with any disruptiveness from the user in the future. Thanks.--Sean Black ^(talk) 23:35, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

• I'm pretty much on the other side of this debate. I would call it a content dispute if there were a dispute at all; instead, Jsmith (on an anon account) consistently ignored User:Kunzite's talk page messages, and then went on to remove exclaim messages. I asked for administrators to intervene when User:JoanneB informed me this was a matter for WP:VIP, which resulted in User:Denelson83 semi-protecting the page. Jsmith then switched to his account and consistently removed the semi-protection template, which was what crossed the line from an ersatz "content dispute" to blatant vandalism. If that weren't enough, he keeps removing the warnings on his talk page with the message "revert anon" although the admins that are blocking him clearly aren't anonymous. US Collaboration of the Week

I'm confused about why you deleted the tally notes from the US Collaboration of the Week. Because we're transitioning from 2 votes per week to 3 votes per week, I thought it was helpful to know how many votes a nomination got before the date the transition started (May 14). That way it would be easier to add up how many weeks were allowed because of 2-vote blocks received before May 14, and 3-vote blocks received afterward. Thesmothete 18:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

MOS- Units of measure

Andy, I added the phase "and not be removed" back in to the end of your edit of WP:MOSNUM (14:18, May 19, 2006 AndyZ). I didn't disagree with your edit, but in my experience someone will misinterpret that and start removing conversions. RE:Image talk page tagging deletion

Yeah, I figured. It says on the template that it was a speedy deletion candidate if it was a Image page for a missing or corrupt Image. I figured deleted qualified as "missing". I knew {{db-talk}} existed, but I was caught in between which one to choose for the proper tagging (Well, as long as they are getting deleted). Thanks for clarifying for me. Citation policy

Greetings. Thanks for your input re: peer review of NPA personality theory.

Question: Regarding footnotes, does Wikipedia use the traditional terms Ibid., loc.cit. and op.cit.?

If not, say that you have a References section with a short list of footnotes in a Notes section just below it. If there is a book, say by J.D. Hawkins in the Reference section, and one wishes to cite Hawkins multiple times in the footnotes (with different page numbers), what is the exact preferred format?
