License tagging for File:Φιλική Εταιρεία. Λιθογραφία. Β. Φαληρέας.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Φιλική Εταιρεία. Λιθογραφία. Β. Φαληρέας.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.   Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Muse may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "<>"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. Speedy deletion nomination of Αγαμέμνονας edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Αγαμέμνονας, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello Andromeas. Unfortunately I had to speedily delete this file because it was a copyright infringement. The artist died in 1979 (see here, so his works are still protected by copyright until 2050. As a side note, please consider uploading any truly free images of this kind at Wikimedia Commons so all Wikipedias and other WMF projects can access them. And if you upload any images locally at the English Wikipedia, please don't write descriptions in Greek. De728631 (talk) 20:59, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for creating 2,3-bis-(acetylmercaptomethyl)quinoxalin, Andromeas!

  Hello, I'm DMacks. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. It's important to provide a source when you say that a certain chemical is present in a specific plant. DMacks (talk) 19:48, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Please stop adding whole blocks of text to articles as you did here and here. Wikipedia is neither Wikisource nor Wikiquote. --Omnipaedista (talk) 10:24, 30 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

The same goes for the articles: Agathyrsi, Deucalion, Abantes, ‎Enyo, Abdera, Thrace, Muse, Abaris the Hyperborean‎, Abulites, Agenor, son of Antenor, Agenor, Agema, Ageladas, Abrocomas, Abydos (Hellespont), Agatharchus, Agamemnon, Spartan army, Aganippe, Abdalonymus, Atlantis. --Omnipaedista (talk) 07:41, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Copypasting unformatted (or even formatted) blocks of text from the TLG to Wikipedia articles is not how you build an encyclopedia. --Omnipaedista (talk) 11:07, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Be careful edit

Wikipedia editors are attentive to health claims, so please stick to very high level referencing, per WP:MEDRS. If you want any advice, you can always leave a note on the talk pages. It takes a while, but editors will respond. And if they dont, then proceed. You can appreciate that there is just a lot of crap in the literature and a lot of strangeness that should not be in this encyclopedia. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:10, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Edit war warning edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Flouride toxicity. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Reflist parameters edit

Thanks for your efforts to improve the layout of references, but the number-of-columns parameter has been deprecated for some time now (it doesn't work well on very narrow or very wide screens). Have a look at Template:Reflist for more information. Setting the colwidth to somewhere between 30em and 40em generally produces good results - like this: {{reflist|40em}}. Hope that helps --RexxS (talk) 20:52, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

January 2016 edit

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Fasting, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Please do not link to illicit copies of journal articles. Alexbrn (talk) 20:53, 31 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
