Your userpage draft edit

I noticed that you created an article about Judd Lander on your user page. Before turning this into a live article, please note that the current version does not credibly point out the subject's notability. Wikipedia articles need sources that are not affiliated with the subject, so statements from music magazines or repeated coverage in the national or international news would be a good start to improve the article. If you've got questions about that, please feel free to ask me about this on my talk page. De728631 (talk) 14:22, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Amy. I'm afraid to tell you that most of the sources you've used so far are not acceptable by Wikipedia's standards. Sources like youtube and blogs are not considered reliable enough, and please don't use Wikipedia articles as a source since Wikipedia itself is not reliable either (because our articles are subject to constant change). Also, a person's notability is measured by repeated in-depth coverage in reliable sources. So even if Mr. Lander has been active in the British music industry for years, I think we can't have an article about him if there's no sufficient coverage by secondary sources. The Rock Yearbook and the Express article are a start, but you could try a search at Google Books. There seem to be a number of references about him that could be useful.
That said, I'd like to give some tips about formatting your article. Wikipedia code can be tricky if you're new to it but once you've used it a few times it's quite easy. Section headlines are created by typing == Text ==, and images should be on the right edge of the page by default. Referencing with the <ref></ref> tag works this way: Please use <ref></ref> whereever you would like to produce a footnote, but for a numbered list of sources in the end, you need to use single lines of hashtags, like
# Website
# Book
# Newsfeed
and so on. That will produce
  1. Website
  2. Book
  3. Newsfeed.
Please let me know if you've found some better sources. I think with those book sources we can turn this into a good start for the article namespace. De728631 (talk) 13:01, 13 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi there Located some more reliable sources now - how does that look to you? Unfortunately I'm having problems getting my head around the references and citing process - if you take a look at my latest draft, you'll see there's 2 seperate reference lists - how can I correct this and make these look as they should on a usual wikipedia article?
