Notability of Swim Harder Cassettes edit

A tag has been placed on Swim Harder Cassettes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --AbsolutDan (talk) 20:15, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Moutheater edit

A tag has been placed on Moutheater, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. --AbsolutDan (talk) 23:38, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Seeing that the content is substantially the same as it was at the AFD discussion (the one review does not change that), I removed it from article namespace. I have userfied it to User:Amvymra/Moutheater where you can improve the article once and if more reliable sources establish notability for the band. Before moving it back, I suggest you request a deletion review to determine whether the improved article can be deemed rectifying the previous AFD's concerns. The article is similar but was updated with new info. The magazines (Portfolio, 24 Seven Cities, and TCC Times) along with the Live-metal.net review all establish notability. There is nothing in the the notability guidlines that says a publication can't be local. It does say something about school papers (which the TCC Times is) but even says to review those on a case by case basis. The band has had multiple feature articles written about them establishing their notability.Amvymra (talk) 21:17, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Moutheater edit

Is gone again, you need to wait for the DRV to close before declaring a consensus. One editor's comment is not an outcome. Spartaz Humbug! 05:17, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I thought he was telling me that it couldn't be in the deletion review log anymore.Amvymra (talk) 11:26, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jesuit (band) edit

The article Jesuit (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:N:Non-notable band, fails WP:MUSIC

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --AbsolutDan (talk) 03:15, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Jesuit (band) edit

You can read WP:PROD for more information, but basically the article was tagged as a proposal to delete the article, and since no one had an objection within the 7 days, it was deleted. I can restore the article if you would like, but it will then be sent to WP:AFD to discuss whether it belongs or not. MrKIA11 (talk)

I just don't understand what about it makes it not notable. Can you help clarify?Amvymra (talk) 18:01, 7 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I just deleted the article; I did not determine whether or not it was notable. The user that did think so believed that it did not meet any of the criteria for WP:MUSIC. MrKIA11 (talk) 18:30, 7 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
