Please refer to WP:NOT - Wikipedia is not an indescriminate collection of external links. The article you're referring to, Fantasy football (American) had far too many links. We are trying to write an encyclopedia here; an article should not be an exhaustive list of every external resource available for the topic. It is common and encouraged practice to replace large lists of external links with a single directory like DMOZ. If DMOZ is incomplete, please feel free to help out the DMOZ project and add to it. Please also refer to WP:EL for external links guidelines.
