Reversion of my edit edit

In my last edit to the page on 'defecation', I amended several problems with the article. In your reversion of my edit, you actually reverted to a version that contained substantially more errors than the version I reverted to. You can compare the two versions here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Defecation&action=historysubmit&diff=367559222&oldid=367559132 It is clear that your edit introduced more errors to the article. Please check more carefully before reverting useful edits

File permission problem with File:JoySeniorSecondarySchool.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:JoySeniorSecondarySchool.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Theleftorium 20:31, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "A Medal" edit

A page you created, A Medal, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is nonsense or gibberish.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. CalumH93 (talk) 14:10, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ammubhave. Please restore the speedy deletion tag which you removed from this article. The creator of the article must *not* remove the tag. If you want to develop a good reputation on Wikipedia you should be willing to follow our policies. EdJohnston (talk) 15:55, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

November 2009 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with A Medal. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ShadowRangerRIT (talk) 16:28, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Didn't notice Ed's comment. Assumed that if no one else had reverted the change yet, you hadn't been notified and jumped the gun. In any event, the template, both on the article and in my warning indicates the correct way to contest speedy deletion. --ShadowRangerRIT (talk) 16:30, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Easier vandalism patrolling edit

I notice you were denied rollback permission (with justification; you simply don't have enough history of fighting vandalism). While Rollback permission is required to use Huggle, Twinkle may work for your initial work fighting vandalism. It's not quite as powerful, but unlike Huggle, it doesn't require installation (it's purely script based), and doesn't require special wikipedia permissions (you may need to be autoconfirmed, but I'm pretty sure you are; all that takes is 4 days and 10 unreverted edits). --ShadowRangerRIT (talk) 16:34, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Copyright problems with Phyan edit

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Phyan, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Cyclone-Phyan-threatens-Gujarat-Maharashtra/articleshow/5218452.cms. As a copyright violation, Phyan appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Phyan has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Phyan and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Phyan with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Phyan.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Hairhorn (talk) 12:39, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lee Boyd Malvo, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Avaya1

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to San Agustin Academy (Panglao). If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Alansohn (talk) 15:24, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted edit

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. About speedy deletion edit

Coverage in a paper book by a professor at Norway's largest university = in itself grounds not to speedy. For this reason I will remove the speedy tag. Article creators aren't supposed to do this, but that rule is meant for newcomers; I have 65,000 edits and have contributed almost 400 times to DYK. Please suggest edit

Hello, Amol!!! I had talked to you recently regarding some header files(inttypes.h and tgmath.h) which I have tried to edit as well as I possibly could, may be. Please have a look at these header files and suggest me how to improve these articles. Also, if possible, please tell me whether the images I have uploaded have a reliable source. I have added the link as a reference from where I learnt about the flowchart. Also, I tried to search for ansi.h on google but could not find any substantial information on it. If you could help me out with these, I would be grateful to you, Sir.

Speedy deletion nomination of Joy Senior Secondary School edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joy Senior Secondary School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Prav001 (talk) 18:03, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Terry Richardson revert edit

You reverted my contribution seconds after I made it. Did you even read it? I did not make any new statements. I just added info to naked refs plus added a ref. I am going to re-contribute it. 99.17.204.20 (talk) 19:18, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I apologize for reverting your edit. This was a mistake by the software and it did a two consecutive rollbacks. I meant to rollback the first edit and then it also accidentally roll-backed your edit which was the next edit to be reviewed. You can go ahead and re-contribute!
Ok, no problem. 99.17.204.20 (talk) 19:27, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Joy Senior Secondary School edit

The article Joy Senior Secondary School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:MILL institution. Fails WP:NSCHOOL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:02, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
