Microsoft Office 2003 edit

Hello

How do you do?

I was reviewing your contribution to Microsoft Office 2003 article. I see you had claim the version number of Service Pack 3 was 11.0.8174.8172. But when I studied the associated source, I don't see such a thing. Would you care to tell me where you got this strange version number for Service Pack 3?

Thanks.

Best regards,

I did it with the version of the file executable in Office 2003 instead (it even shows in the about menu in Office!). Ambroise.sammy (talk) 14:04, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ah! That explains everything. That was a rookie mistake, I am afraid. Because firstly, Microsoft is famous for patching its software through Microsoft Update without issue a release, hence you have newer version number than the "latest release version". Secondly, Wikipedia works based on sources not original research.
But everyone who has been to Wikipedia may have done this mistake once or twice. No big deal. Enjoy editing.
