Speedy deletion nomination of Darkovibes

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Darkovibes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 00:01, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Darkovibes portrait.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Darkovibes portrait.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Hello AlikotoSam. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Utopia P2P, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AlikotoSam. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AlikotoSam|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sulfurboy (talk) 14:42, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello Sulfurboy, I am aware of Wikipedia’s terms of use and I can assure you this is an attempt to put pen to paper on a platform I heard about and realised doesn’t exist on Wikipedia. I did notice that most of the news articles on it was from a press release and so I decided to submit this as a draft to be looked at and see how it goes. The tag you put on it isn’t quite needed. Thank you very much. AlikotoSam (talk) 14:53, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fiddle so this means there must be a list of acceptable specific websites Wikipedia uses despite the guidelines on what is accepted as credible sources, right?--AlikotoSam (talk) 12:38, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
There is Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, and it might be useful to take your question to it for more authoritative answers. The challenge is that it is up to the editor who deploys a source to show that it is reliable in this context. Catch 22 Fiddle Faddle 12:43, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have taken my time to crosscheck the sources I used to see if any appear on User:Praxidicae/fntest but I could not find anything. So then I wonder why you declined the draft based on this. Should I resubmit it?--AlikotoSam (talk) 12:46, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
AlikotoSam, feel free to resubmit it if you are certain. That list is by no means exhaustive and I may be in error. I used judgement that if I accept dit it would be sent immediately for deletion. Other reviewers' opinions will vary Fiddle Faddle 12:48, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Do note that interviews with the principals or staff thereof, and PR pieces disqualify a reference from being of any use in verifying and notability. Fiddle Faddle 12:50, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes I do understand that and I have taken my time to check each source for this. Thanks.--AlikotoSam (talk) 12:52, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was:

This draft has been Rejected by a reviewer in the Articles for Creation review process. DO NOT resubmit this draft or attempt to resubmit this draft or prepare or submit a draft that is substantially the same as this draft without discussing the reasons for the rejection. You may request a discussion with the rejecting reviewer, or you may request a discussion with the community at the Teahouse. A discussion will not necessarily agree to a resubmission. If this draft is resubmitted, or an attempt is made to resubmit this draft or an equivalent draft, without addressing the reasons for the Rejection, a topic-ban or a partial block may be requested against the submitting editor, and the draft may be nominated for deletion.

You may ask for advice about Rejection at the Teahouse.

Ramotion moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Ramotion, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
