Thanks for uploading Image:CBS labs.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. John O'Neill (musician)

I notice you are effecting some edits on this article. Way back in 2007, I intended to pursue the validity of Mr. O'Neill as the probable 'owner' of the 'Whistling Jack Smith' story - sadly I got sidetracked and did not return. However, if you have not done so already, please read Talk:John O'Neill (musician), which explains the rationale behind my thinking back then. I do not think that O'Neill (bless him) was necessarily the driving force behind "Kaiser Bill's Batman". However, as you may have noticed, at lot of this seems to be wrapped up in legend, fiction, hear'say etc. As ever, Wikipedia:Reliable sources is perhaps the answer. Cheers,

Analog passthrough

I decided your contribution, adding to that of Radiojon, makes a valuable addition to the Coupon-eligible converter box article. I'm surprised given the remote possibility they could have shut down the CECB program, that it wasn't in the article in the first place.

Regarding your recent edit to Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey, it is premature to state that it is now in the 25th Legislative District. Sure, if you voted today,you voted for representatives to the Senate and Assembly in the 25th district. But until the new legislature takes office in January 2012, you are in the 24th Legislative District. Steve Oroho is till your State Senator and Gary R. Chiusano and Alison Littell McHose still represent you in the Assembly until January. Lockheed A-12

Regarding edits to Lockheed A-12, specifically, naming of Ray Torick as LCO of fatal test crash. While it has been suggested that the identification of Torick in the article is inappropriate because he is a "non-notable person," we respectfully disagree. First, the test pilot gave his life while on duty. Second, the Lockheed A-12/M-21 program was canceled by program manager Kelly Johnson because of the loss. Third, Torick is mentioned by name in several books about the aircraft program. All of these factors make his identity notable.

Re: Notability of Cravath re: War of Currents

The problem is the event is important to the subject but the subject is not very important to the event (as far as I can tell). The sources you are citing are about Paul Cravath, not War of Currents, so they are not third-party sources WP:V requires. A third-party sources on this topic: such as "AC/DC: The Savage Tale of the First Standards War" does not mention Paul Cravath at all. "Empires of Light" and "George Westinghouse: Gentle Genius" (which seems to copy "Empires of Light") mention Paul Cravath in passing, description pretty much limited to "Westinghouse's lawyer". Absolutely no description of there being any kind of "trial of the century". I hope that explains my edit. You could always try to find more extensive reliable sources. Fair enough -- in part, but more specifically: (1) Cravath had a key role in the Edison v Westinghouse litigations, a fact which is duly noted in the postscript of Moore's book, where he delineates the fictional vs actual facts as he presents them. This makes him an independent (and not unreliable) source, so recommend removing this tag from Paul Drennan Cravath article. (2) RE: War of Currents, as pointed out, Cravath was part of this story, per Moore, and again, this provides a useful reference. "Trial of the century" was quote taken from deleted reference; suggest re-inserting original text, modifying "trial of" quote to read "so-called" or similar. algocu (talk) 18:32, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Looking through synopsis' of "The Last Days of Night" and clips of the book, its pretty fanciful. It is not "independent", it is about Cravath, and its fictional to boot. The history presented by books on the "War of Currents" is that Westinghouse ultimately lost the patent dispute over the light bulb and had to use an inferior Sawyer-Man patent, there is not even a hint of a "Trial of the century" and what Cravath accomplished seemed to be insignificant in the overall history (there were hundreds of people involved in this "War", they may crop up in an extensive book on the topic but we can't WP:UNDUE list individuals in a short Wikipedia article). Moore's work is a fictional account where he turned real life people into "characters", so we can not really even use it as a source on what was important in Cravath's life history. One problem with your assessment: a simple synopsis does not reveal the factual basis of both the novel and my argument: author Moore devotes a heavily-referenced appendix in his book to delineate fact from fiction. Needs some common sense here, novels are not considered relivable sources in Wikipedia (see WP:RS on what are). The book's appendix can be read at Google Books and, nah, it ain't history. The source in question, Graham Moore, is not a historian, he writes screenplays and novelizations of screenplays. He is not citing historical fact in his footnotes as much as he is citing his own non-historan take on history. He notes many times he is compressing and combining events to make a fictional narative and that Paul Cravath's roll in key events were made up (see pages 365-366 for example). I was curious and I took a look. The edit restored discussions that had been archived as well as blanking new discussions. It looks like you either clicked edit while viewing an old version from the page history, or maybe you clicked edit somewhere around Feb 26 and left the browser open for more than a week before saving. The latter option should have warned you of an edit conflict. Either way it looks a like an accident rather than someone else compromising the account. Alsee (talk) 09:25, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Followup: I have pinned down the exact edit. Algocu see this diff. You were attempting to reply to Scjessey post from 17:33, 23 February 2018 and you saved your edit 21:58, 7 March 2018. The edit wiped out all new posts between those dates, as well as restoring all discussions archived between those dates.

Note that when your edit was reverted, your response to Scjessey was also removed. I was going to suggest that you re-post your comment on the talk page, however that discussion has already been archived. The ping in your reply did not work; pings do not trigger when a diff hits multiple sections. I'll ping Scjessey so they can at least see your reply in the diff-link above.
