RE edit

Well, can you provide sources of the site's importance? I understand that you didn't attempt to advertise the website here but you have to add notability of the site in order for it to have an article here in Wikipedia. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 04:52, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Kctalk.com edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kctalk.com, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Prods, unlike speedy deletions and AfDs, can be simply removed if contested.--Boffob (talk) 12:51, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
My issue with the article is not the locality of it, but that its notability seems to be tied to a single news event. Since it's not a biography article, it is in a grey area in terms of deletion or major rewrite, which is why I put a proposed deletion first. Technically, the prod could simply be removed, nevertheless, some copyedit to follow the manual of style guidelines (e.g. the intro should not have a section title like it does now) and extra references from reliable sources to show that the website is notable beyond that one news event would be useful to avoid an AfD.--Boffob (talk) 14:08, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
