  • Wikipedia is not a place where you can 'voice' your own personal thoughts - only pre-published information can be added, and that needs to be para-phrased in your own words to avoid copyright violations. The source material has to be quoted, eg., local/provincial newspapers, magazines, non-personal (and not social media) websites. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 18:52, 1 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Marking changes as minor edit

Hi AlBro66! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Saltburn-by-the-Sea that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information.

Several of your edits are marked as minor; as described above, any change which alters the way the prose is read and/or understood is not minor.

Please also note that the images you uploaded are likely to be deleted as copyright violations. It is not possible to right-click copy any images unless they are annotated to be free of copyright restrictions, either in text or by way of a recognisable licence. The aerial shot is copied from Huntcliff School where there is a copyright notice in the page footer: "© VALT 2022". Having established that, the 1900s-looking school may be timed-out of copyright .--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 23:35, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Knives (2016 film) edit

The article Knives (2016 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Film appears to fail WP:NFILM as no reviews found in a BEFORE

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Jessica Lancaster edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jessica Lancaster requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. AmirŞah 22:42, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Unsuitable references edit

You've added in two articles Imdb, which is open-sourced (user-generated) and not considered as WP:RS. It's similar to Geograph which you've also added. This is covered in Wikipedia: Reliable sources#User-generated content.

Often, Imdb can carry similar content to Wikipedia, and as there's no timeline to indicate which came first, when trying to use as a citation, it can create what is known as WP:CIRCULAR.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 23:25, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Links to draft articles edit

Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Jens Bergensten. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:08, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
