License tagging for Image:Ford leaf road logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ford leaf road logo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

STS-118

Hi Ageekgal! Nice to see another fellow space enthusiast! I noticed your edit to STS-118, and I'd like to let you know that the wiki-link was provided in the opening introduction of the article, so it is not needed subsequently. Also, the term NASA uses is Mission Specialist Educator, so that's the term we'll use in the article. The article on the educator program does use the term Educator Astronaut, so all bases were covered in that area! I also noticed you reverted the changes, but if you'd like to read more about why that's done that way, the Manual of Style explains that once an item has been wiki-linked, mentions of the item later in the article don't need to be linked. If you have any questions at all about the space projects, or Wikipedia in general, feel free to let me know! Kibo really is the name of a future space station module

Please revert your change to the International Space Station article, after reading the references given at Japanese Experiment Module to assure yourself that Kibō (Japanese for "hope") really is the name for that module. (Yes, I know in the context of usenet that would be suspici0us. ;-) A particularly reliable reference is at the JAXA web server http://kibo.jaxa.jp/en/. WikiProject Space exploration tagging of CCAFS

Hello again! Thanks for noticing the glaring ommission of tags indicating CCAFS and LSAM as being of high importance to the space exploration wikiproject. I totally agree with adding them as "High" importance topics. Just a nit-picking detail, though: the {{WP Space exploration}} banner has been obsoleted by {{WPSpace}}. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Space exploration#Related pages and the comments for {{WP Space exploration}}. It doesn't really do much harm though, since one just invokes the other. Hehe... Some of us take longer to get hooked on the wiki than others. I am enjoying my recent resurgence in interest and activity. Regarding your user page, I figured it was only neighborly to ask and let you know the effort was appreciated/admired. It beats my present disjointed manner of making edits and trying to remember where I literally and figuratively put something I wanted to reference or add! WikiProject Assessments

Hello. Thanks for lending a hand with article assessments in the Military history and Ships WikiProjects. However you may wish to review the projects' assessment instructions (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Assessment and Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment) as I noticed that you had performed a couple of non-standard assessments. Specifically in the case of Category talk:Frigates and destroyer escorts of the United States Navy, non-article pages (templates, disambiguation pages, cats, etc.) are generally given a "NA" designation by both projects for both class and importance. Likewise for Talk:Garcia class frigate, the assessment criteria at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Assessment#Importance assessment indicates that ship classes typically are assigned a "high" importance, with "top" importance generally reserved for ship types (however there are a few notable exceptions). Moving articles

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from USS Koelsch (DE-1049) to USS Koelsch (FF-1049). Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. Welcome

Welcome to WP:Ships! I saw a couple new articles you contributed today, and they look great. Some very minor suggestions:

• we now use the template {{USN flag}}, rather than the Navy jack that you might find on some older articles.
• try to keep the info in the infobox brief - like in USS Koelsch (FF-1049), 'sold in 1994' would be plenty of 'fate' information, since it is elaborated upon in the article.
• where possible, try to break long articles, like USS Voge (FF-1047), into logical sections with section headers.

Again, these are just the tiniest of improvements to otherwise very good articles. Thanks for jumping right in to things! Maralia 03:11, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report about Ztaylor38 (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. More specific WikiProject for Energia?

I noticed your tagging Talk:Energia for WikiProject Space. In looking at the Space project's page, don't you think a more specific sub-project would be more appropriate? It would appear that WikiProject Human Spaceflight or Rocketry would be a better fit. Let me know what you think. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:16, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Unless I goofed (which is entirely possible), that is exactly what I did -- from the page you linked: {{WPSpace}} -- use {{WPSpace|space_exploration=yes}} for human space flight. I'm rather new to the project though so I'm not a be-all/end-all guide by any means to the best classification scheme. I'm just trying to at least get all the various launch vehicles tagged so they're on the project's radar. - Ageekgal 00:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Clock crew

Naturally, since I nominated it, I agree that this article should be speedied. However, since anybody besides the creator is permitted to remove a speedy tag, I'm not sure the removal of the tag by the anon editor constitutes vandalism. I reverted an earlier such removal as vandalism, but that was because the same IP had previously vandalized the article. SuccessTech School Shooting

Okay, I agree that the shooter killed himself, but nobody but him is confirmed dead. Everyone else hurt (shooter, excluded)seems to be in "stable" or "slightly elevated" (whatever that means) condition. I guess we can call it a shooting-suicide rather than a murder suicide. The only one the table is saying is dead is the shooter. That's what "Fatalities: 1 (including the perpetrator)" means. One, total, dead. That dead being, the shooter. That's the standard wording for that infobox. - Ageekgal 21:45, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Hiroshima photo request

Hi Ageekgal,

Regarding your request for adding a photo to the article Hiroshima, did you have anything specific in mind? There are already 15 or more pictures in the article, so the template you added, which simply asks for "a photograph," doesn't give us a clear idea of the sort of image you're looking for. Please let us know, and we'll search our files to see if we have what you want.

You can also browse the article on Hiroshima on Commons and commons:Category:Hiroshima, Hiroshima and categories and articles in it to see if the sort of photo you want is available there.
