Flickr question

Hi Adabow! Do you think I can upload this photo from Flickr to Commons? It is CC 2.0, but there is a Getty Images thing. – Novice7 (talk) 07:01, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll take a look at them. – Novice7 (talk) 08:17, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
  The Special Barnstar
For answering all my questions, no matter how dumb they are, and helping me throughout, I award you this. – Novice7 (talk) 08:17, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

So, I didn't find anything fishy about the uploader. But, the Getty Images licensing, is it okay? Also, can you copyedit All the Man That I Need for me? – Novice7 (talk) 09:38, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

David Donaldson (composer)

Hi Adabow, do you want to have a look at David Donaldson (composer)? It's got a strange tag on it (I can't see the copyvio, and I've even looked up a cached version of that page and it hasn't changed since 26 Jan). It also needs a lot of wikilove from the music taskforce. Schwede66 08:39, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

I'll take a look at Donaldson tomorrow (looks like a mission) – getting tired now. And thanks for clearing User:AlexNewArtBot/NZSearchResult, I've been getting a bit lazy! Just a note, you need to leave one entry so that the bot knows where to place the results. Thanks again and I'll try to keep on top of it! Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:08, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

A help

Okay, I added some more composition information to Irresistible (Jessica Simpson song)'s composition. Can you help me by updating the rationale? I can really see that the article needs some copy-edit. Can you do it for me too? Thanks :) Also, I sent an e-mail to Simon Brand asking him about the location of Irresistible's video shoot. He replied to me, and how can I add the information to the article? – Novice7 (talk) 15:48, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! Okay, what if I upload it to some hosting websites, so that others can view it too? I mean, a screenshot of the mail?? I will ask him, but I don't know if he would publish it. – Novice7 (talk) 09:27, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'll e-mail him asking about it :) – Novice7 (talk) 09:32, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
So, if he adds it to the website, and I add it to the article, can I use Image:Universal Studios Hollywood globe 2.JPG on the article? – Novice7 (talk) 09:48, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! Oh, have a sound sleep :) – Novice7 (talk) 09:59, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi! So, I modified Irresistible a bit to something like this. Which is better? The sandbox version or this? Also, regarding the Music video info, I was told I can use "Personal communication" format. – Novice7 (talk) 09:30, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

I was told I could use it first, but now it seems like others don't agree. Well, this is what we exchanged (I have removed my email id). – Novice7 (talk) 03:55, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Yep, it does :D By "offline" you mean books, magazines etc.? Well, yes, I searched everywhere possible. A previous user named Punkox (talk · contribs) and his sock Drink1 (talk · contribs) knew everything about Simpson, but had no sources for the information they added. I guess, I should remove it. Oh, do you think Aguilera's image on the article is of no use? – Novice7 (talk) 04:02, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
I searched on every possible newspaper archives. Bad luck :( I didn't get any information. Do you suggest any other websites to search? – Novice7 (talk) 04:13, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Hi Adabow, this is Novice7's alternate account. I'm using it to let you know about this account. Local library? You know where I live, and here there are hardly any international newspaper archives. Local dailies would not have any information, especially on Simpson. I have all possible Simpson biographies, and they don't mention it too. Mag41 | Talk 04:31, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Back to Me! Well, I created Novice7 back in 2008 and actually forgot the password. Then, I created the alternate account, in 2009 but soon found out my old password :D I don't use the alternate account, except when I use any public places. I've run out of ideas too. I searched everywhere... :[ – Novice7 (talk) 04:41, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals

Hey I have fixed your comments at the FL! Thanks for commenting =D--Blackjacks101 (talk) 14:20, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi!

Hi! Hope you're well. I read that a big quake hit New Zealand. Is everything okay? Also, can I split the Music video section of Irresistible into sub-sections? – Novice7 (talk) 03:49, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Thank God! I just read the newspaper, and saw the news. It's so sad. You might remember the 2004 Tsunami in India. Oh, btw, This review by Tracy E. Hopkins reliable enough for inclusion? – Novice7 (talk) 03:59, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Me too. My relatives live in Tamil Nadu. The next day was my birthday (I just turned ten that year :D), but my eyes were stuck on the TV screen from morning till night. That incident was so shocking. Okay, thanks :) – Novice7 (talk) 05:39, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi Hi!! If possible, can you write better Alt for "Irresistible"? I don't think the current ones are good enough :) :) – Novice7 (talk) 08:57, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks =) =) — Novice7 (talk) 09:24, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Really? I thought FAs required description for everything :D Can I do FAC and FLC at the same time? — Novice7 (talk) 09:26, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
:O Wow! I'll just stick to FAC for the moment. I'm planning on fixing this giant and nominating it for <blank space> Featured list. Btw, is it "an FA" or "a FA". When I spell it out, I somehow say "an". I should do some grammar :| — Novice7 (talk) 09:32, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh, thanks. So, we need to show that the format exists? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Actually, I have this thing and not the real album :D What can I do to correct it? — Novice7 (talk) 09:44, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Dupri's Production is mentioned on the EP This is the Remix. Thanks to a very sweet scan of the booklet I found, I could use it :D As for the tracklist, yes, I could not find any good source (Eil, Mattcdsingles and our very own discogs only). — Novice7 (talk) 09:53, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Is this sweetie pie reliable? — Novice7 (talk) 09:59, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

What has gotten into me?? I massaged my head with something like this, and the next thing I do is call websites "sweetie pie"s!! Oh, this should be reliable. Also, see this... The release date issue. — Novice7 (talk) 10:06, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Hi Adabow! For always being kind, helpful and, of course, humorous, I award you with this Barnstar. — Novice7 (talk) 12:12, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry. I live in urban area too. If you'd like to, I can construct a barn for you to place this =D JK.. — Novice7 (talk) 07:10, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Well kinda. Not really :D I do have a lot of friends =D — Novice7 (talk) 07:17, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I wanted to ask you something. How popular is Whitney Houston, Jessica Simpson, Delta Goodrem in NZ? Also, how long does it take for FA? — Novice7 (talk) 07:34, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Houston is kinda "diva"-ish, Simpson's vocals are kinda different, and Goodrem is amazing. I love her song "In This Life" and "Innocent Eyes". Oh, I just wanted to show this. Isn't it a little too big? And, thank you sooo much for your support. I hope it makes through :( — Novice7 (talk) 07:53, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
I'll try and dig something up too (for Kissing You lawsuit). — Novice7 (talk) 07:59, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
It was postponed to May 14 [1]. I'll look for more news. — Novice7 (talk) 08:09, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Also, I don't know if it's reliable, but this says it was never cleared. Maybe, this too. — Novice7 (talk) 08:13, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry about that. It doesn't say lawsuit was cleared. The njunction hearing was postponed to May 14. Sorry again. — Novice7 (talk) 08:15, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Naaaw.. It's my pleasure :) — Novice7 (talk) 11:01, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

WikiCup 2011 February newsletter

So begins round two of the WikiCup! We now have eight pools, each with eight random contestants. This round will continue until the end of April, when the top two of each pool, as well as the next 16 highest scorers of those remaining, will make it to round three. Congratulations to   The Bushranger (submissions) (first, with 487 points) and   Hurricanehink (submissions) (second, with 459), who stormed the first round.   Casliber (submissions) finished third with 223. Twelve others finished with over 100 points- well done to all of you! The final standings in round one can be seen here. A mere 8 points were required to reach round two; competition will no doubt be much more fierce this round, so be ready for a challenge! A special thanks goes, again, to   Jarry1250 (submissions) for dealing with all bot work. This year's bot, as well as running smoothly, is doing some very helpful things that last year's did not. Also, thanks to   Stone (submissions) for some helpful behind-the-scenes updating and number crunching.

Some news for those who are interested- March will see a GAN backlog elimination drive, which you are still free to join. Organised by WikiProject Good articles, the drive aims to minimise the GAN backlog and offers prizes to those who help out. Of course, you may well be able to claim WikiCup points for the articles you review as part of the drive. Also ongoing is the Great Backlog Drive, looking to work on clearing all of the backlogs on Wikipedia; again, incentives are offered, and the spirit of friendly competition is alive, while helping the encyclopedia is the ultimate aim. Though unrelated to the WikiCup, these may well be of interest to some of you.

Just a reminder of the rules; if you have done significant work on content this year and it is promoted in this round, you may claim for it. Also, anything that was promoted after the end of round one but before the beginning of round two may be claimed for in round two. Details of the rules can be found on this page. For those interested in statistics, a running total of claims can be seen here, and a very interesting table of that information (along with the highest scorers in each category) can be seen here. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Re: Barnstar

I've already replied on my talk page, but I'd like to say, "Thanks again!" You made my evening. :) Yves (talk) 05:54, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

(sic)nesses

Thanks for the review on (sic)nesses, I've fixed or responded to all your comments. CrowzRSA 02:02, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello!

Hi Adabow! Well, I listened to "Something in the Water", and really liked it. Too bad, the album never came to India :( Also, I don't think the present sample of "Irresistible" is good. If possible, can you listen to this and tell me a better duration for the sample? Only if possible. I'm not forcing you :) — Novice7 (talk) 06:43, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Why? It's such an amazing song. Catchy, and Brooke has a good voice. I see that it has country music influences, something which makes me love it more :D Oh, it's okay then :D I feel that I've not made a good sample. There are three choruses, and I don't know which to choose :( I would be more than happy if you could help me. Anytime you're free, if possible :) — Novice7 (talk) 07:13, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm.. I've never heard it being played it here. It's bad when they never play good songs (except Kesha, BEP, and mostly new songs). Thanks! — Novice7 (talk) 07:25, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry. It's the same here too. When Tik Tok came out, I really liked it. But, the radio played it over and over, again and again, and now I hate it :D Same with many other songs. Yeah, they never play something I like (you know which kinda music I like). Mostly dance, R&B songs (although I like R&B) :( — Novice7 (talk) 07:33, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Thank you Thank youuuu soooo much!!! Thanks for listening and telling me the perfect time! As you have listened to it, you might have noticed that the bridge is somewhat "rap-sing". Should I add that? Like this? — Novice7 (talk) 09:07, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

OMG!! Really!!! That's so cool! Okay, so I was thinking you're nearing the special status level. What do you say? — Novice7 (talk) 04:04, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry, it's gonna be busy for me too. I mean, you have great knowledge of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, know how to resolve disputes, and familiarity with AfD, TfD, CfD, AN/I and more!!! But, I'll surely try to nominate ya next year :P — Novice7 (talk) 04:12, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank youuuu!!! I wasn't expecting that at all! Really, I don't know what to say 8) Oh, btw, what does "Media type for text/html is wrong" mean? — Novice7 (talk) 04:20, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Oops! It's "Media type text/html is wrong for .pdf file". Here. — Novice7 (talk) 04:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what surprised me too. Maybe I need to link .pdf? — Novice7 (talk) 04:43, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
I'll just ignore it then. — Novice7 (talk) 04:53, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

I was looking through your contribs and saw that you're working on "You Make Me Wanna". Here's some info. A review from Daily News, Performance (the preview doesn't show the details, but it goes like this "Teen sensation Usher played only two songs, but pleased the crowd with his smash "You Make Me Wanna."), Performance (I don't know if both are same), another review (says "Tracks like You Make Me Wanna, Nice And Slow and Slow Jam should put you in the mood before Bedtime hammers the message home."), Some news (Don't know if it is required). — Novice7 (talk) 07:00, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

You're Welcome! It's tricky. What I did is typed [Usher "You Make Me Wanna"], and ordered by date (Oldest first). Then, out of the results, some might have broken sentences. Replace the "You Make Me Wanna" inside quotes with this sentence snippet, and you will get more words. I continued till I got the full sentence :D It's tedious, but works for sure! — Novice7 (talk) 07:09, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Usher

Hey Ada :) Sure I'll give it a try! It might take a few days to get him at the right day or time but I'm confident I'll catch him :) Also, can you do the4 auto-archiving for me? :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 16:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Ah, thanks for stepping in. I can't understand his problem lol. He was pissing me off :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 09:03, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Vicki Leekx sample

Hey I saw your GA review on VL and your offer to make a sample from it. So will you? :)

I would suggest either the first 17 second (0:00-0:17) with the Assange-quote or 17:17-17:47 which incorporates the "imitators, haters, and [...] psychos" and "bitches who are fame hoes" parts. I would really love the latter. Hope you will/can do this, regards Mottenen (talk) 16:29, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks it's great! Mottenen (talk) 11:05, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Important question

Hi Adabow! As the founder of Beyonce WikiProject, I'd like to ask you something. Many new Beyonce articles are being created (like "Daddy") I mean, most of them fail WP:NSONGS, as far as I know. Also, don't you think some of the re-expanded articles are kinda undue? What do you think of this? — Novice7 (talk) 05:26, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes, of course, I will. I just need to look for them. — Novice7 (talk) 09:09, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Please note that I removed my previous comment. I don't want to make a friend of mine down. Also, did you notice the argument on Nathan's talk. A user called Mariah "a trumpet". It's surely an insult, right? — Novice7 (talk) 09:09, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
