My apology edit

Hi Acnandi, I apologize for this mess I created. I misunderstood the nature of the sources and believed them to be wp:reliable sources (RS). Now I see the sources are in fact, blogs. Blogs being wp:selfpublished are not generally acceptable sources. In this case, I don't see them as being RS. I left a note on talk:Anukulchandra Chakravarty that I withdrew any objection and now argue for that content to be removed.
I all too often see the edit summary "Removed wrong information". Often what the person means is "I don't like it". Again, my apology. If you this issues again, please leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for being persistent! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:43, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Citations and reliable sources edit

Wikipedia has a policy of wp:verifiability, any significant content must wp:cite a wp:reliable source (RS). See help:referencing for beginners. Note that self-published sources, blogs, wikis (including this Wikipedia) are generally (but not always) not considered RS. Content should be under editorial oversight and the website should be very concerned about their reputation for accuracy. Example Times of India, The Guardian, etc. wp:primary sources may be self-serving and censor content they wish to not be seen. Content should be warts and all. If Anukulchandra Chakravarty is cited in numerous RS that he was a "Self proclaimed Godman", then that probably should be in the article. Not saying he was, but that should be a Wikipedia editor's impartial position. See wp:Purpose which is a good read. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 19:26, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

NPOV edit

I left a comment on talk:Anukulchandra Chakravarty#Protected edit request on 21 October 2018 I am not sure if either "side" is attempting to edit the article to wp:NPOV. I'm no longer going to comment/work on this. Best of luck. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 21:23, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
