Artist Publishing Group edit

Please don't delete notices from articles until the issue is resolved. Please read carefully the policy cited in the notice. You need references other than press releases and other promotional stuff. Staszek Lem (talk) 02:22, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I apologize, as you may be able to tell I am extremely new to Wikipedia and still getting the hang of coding. As asked before, could you please give more clarification on your edits for the Artist Publishing Group page? You refer to the deletion as follows: "Selected Discography: not done so for labels" when Artist Publishing Group isn't a label but a publishing group. Thank you! "APG has dedicated A&R, sync, marketing, promotion, legal, accounting, and recording studios" - that's what record labels do, right? Passed the duck test for me. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:58, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your diligent research on this matter. I appreciate your interest, however, I did some research of my own as I'm a huge fan of music. According to Balance, music publishing companies basic functions are:

"to make deals with songwriters, promote the songs their songwriters compose to musicians and anyone else who may need a song for whatever reason (advertising, a movie, a promotional campaign, etc), issue licenses for the use of the songs they represent and collect licensing fees. This work is usually referred to as the administration of a song."

This is what APG is doing, therefore they are a publishing company. In addition to this research, I also looked at publishing companies similar in size and rank to APG. The notability of these publishing groups are the very same to APG: [Publishing] and [Entertainment] (which also has no credible sources or references used on their page). With all this in mind, please explain to me why APG is not allowed to be on the site. Thank you. Ab34hj788 (talk) 20:59, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not a shopping catalog. We make lists or records by artist, not by music selling/recording/promoting company. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:58, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Coding is least of your problems. Did you read the policy cited in the notice placed on top of your article? I suspect not. Staszek Lem (talk) 19:00, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

What is your relation to Artist Publishing Group? Staszek Lem (talk) 18:58, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have no relation with the company, I just saw that there was no page made under the link on Mike Caren's Wikipedia page. I am doing my best to adhere to the rules, again, I don't mean harm, I simply want to create a page without all of this harmful and harsh discussion. I am abiding by the rules and taking all necessary precautions this round. Please do not continue to purposely flag and bully.Ab34hj788 (talk) 20:09, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
You will not get anywhere if you continue ignoring the advice given in my very first answer. Also please keep the discussion only in your talk page. You don't need to copy you answers into my talk page. Staszek Lem (talk) 23:52, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your advice in the first place. Have a nice day. Ab34hj788 (talk) 00:08, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Since the article was deleted, here is the link to the policy you must read carefully, if you want the article kept: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). However at he moment, to be on the safe side, I would suggest you to create a section "Artist Publishing Group" in the Mike Caren's article. Staszek Lem (talk) 00:20, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Artist Publishing Group edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Artist Publishing Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
