March 2019 edit

Hello, I'm JimRenge. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Nianfo, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Wikipedia content should be verifiable, based on reliable, independent, secondary (!) sources. Academic sources are generally preferred. See also WP:Verify, WP:RS, WP:OR, WP:BURDEN. Uncritical use of texts from within a religion or faith system without referring to secondary sources that critically analyze them is not helpful. Nianfo edit edit

Hello! I got your message about the revision. I do have an authentic source for this information, in a book I have, "Shinshu Seiten: Jodo Shin Buddhist Teaching" although I cannot find an online copy. You seem more experienced in citations, what should I do in this case? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.230.179.219 (talk) 15:05, 24 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

The source you are citing is not independent but I don´t see a problem using it for this kind of info. Please limit your use of this book because we generally try to summarise what independent sources write about Jodo shinshu. JimRenge (talk) 18:43, 24 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Fixed edit

Hi, I have reverted and improved the accuracy, and provided the source. I am new so I am bit unskilled in this sort of thing, if there is something out of place please work with me to improve it rather than reverting it. Thanks. ^_^
