13th Circle Chart Music Award

Digital Album of the Year is not a main award. Its criteria are based on sales of non-CD album format (SMC, Nemo, Poca, QR, NFC, etc.) It is somewhat equivalent to KiT Album of the Year. Duskmoon2005 (talk) 14:06, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

@Duskmoon2005 Alright thanks for the clarification of the said award. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ 14:10, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
I think we can just use a bit of common sense here. Based on http://www.circlemusicawards.co.kr/eng/musicAward_award.php many other awards such as Retail Album of the Year, V Coloring of the Year, Social Hot Star of the Year, etc. are also not included as special awards but previous years pages treat them as such because they are not the Main awards.
Also, there is no logic behind Digital Album of the Year as the highest award (Daesang). The scope is even smaller compared to Artist of the Year - Album which criteria includes all album format.
Another point is according to http://www.circlemusicawards.co.kr/eng/history.php throughout their history Gaon Chart Music Award/Circle Chart Music Award only recognize Artist of the Year (Digital), Artist of the Year (Physical Album) & Rookie of the Year Duskmoon2005 (talk) 14:35, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, 98Tigerius,

Why did you move Death's Game to a different page title and then move it right back? Article page moves should be thought through and not casually done. Liz Read! Talk! 08:45, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

List of South Korean Boy Bands Edit

Hi, I would like to discuss about my edits in the page.

The reason I put the groups in alphabetical order is because the girl group list page also does the same thing. And also, I think it will only make sense that if the other group was listed by alphabetical order then the groups in the main list should be arranged that way too.

Previously the girl group list was arranged in chronological order of their debuting too, but was changed by other user in alphabetical order, so I'm not sure why the same couldn't be apply to both pages.

Hooplasledge23 (talk) 17:26, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

@Hooplasledge23: The list should arrange in chronological order by their debut year as it's been like that since the creation. The girl group list should be reverted back. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ 17:36, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

2005 UAAP Women's Volleyball

Hello, 98Tigerius,

Recently you moved this article and in the edit summary, you called it "page move vandalism". The editor who had moved the article to a different title had made many edits to this article already and, I assume, thought a different (but very similar) title was more suitable. Please do not call page moves or edits "vandalism" unless there is damage done to the article and its contents. Assume good faith of other editors, especially those who had been working on those articles that are being moved. I imagine that if I reverted a move you had done and called it "vandalism" you would not be pleased. So, don't just randomly pick one of the selected edit summaries because it's convenient and maybe write your own in that is more appropriate. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:16, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Recent images-related changes

Please don't knee jerk WP:POINT just because you're reverted on one article by someone whom just anyhow quote without technical knowledge, everyone will now and then experienced such things which is perfectly normal, but how you response is what is important instead. In addition, .png is preferred format for WP:NFCC images regardless of what WP:PIFU mentions which is an outdated article btw, just looks at its talk page. When dealing with NFCC images, we are obviously required to downsize the original image which when saved to .jpg/.jpeg compromise the quality as it uses lossy compression whereas .png uses lossless compression meaning the quality stays the same and not resulting in low quality blurry or distorted NFCC images. If you want read more about, this article by Adobe explains it perfectly. Thanks! β€” 🧧🍊 Paper9oll 🍊🧧 (πŸ”” β€’ πŸ“) 14:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

Matter of principle - DUNE PART 2

I know very well that is how the book ends. But, how would, say, any old wiki editor prove that they've been to a premiere or advanced screening? Yeah, all lines up with the book, but as a matter of principle, how are DUNEFAN or whatnot, him obviously not being neutral, going to prove what he says is true? JUNGKOOK GOLDEN ALBUM HUNGARIAN CHART

Hi, I suggested an edit for Jungkook's page, GOLDEN reached #1 on Hungarian physical album chart twice, I also included the source. But I still cannot see it on the page. Is there any problem with it? Thanks in advance. JKHungary (talk) 18:51, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

@JKHungary: The one you provided is different from the one that was included in Jungkook's Golden album article, see it for yourself. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ 19:53, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
Yes, because there are two album charts in Hungary. One is the combined chart, Jungkook's Golden album article contains that. But there is another official chart which is the Physical Album chart and he reached #1 twice on that chart. Just as I included the source. It is listed on the Hungarian Wikipedia page too for #1s on album chart.

Pls check these. Thank you. JKHungary (talk) 21:29, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
@JKHungary: From what I understand the one to include in chart table is the one already in Golden album per MAHASZ#Charts and the one you want to include is not even in the criteria. Also see 5-Star (Stray Kids album), even though it charted no.1 for 7 times on Album Top 40 chart (physical media) it was not included on the chart table. If you still insist it, you can ask other editors on the Golden album talk page as their more experience about the charting system. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ 02:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

WP:REPEATLINK

WP:REPEATLINK does not encourage linking in separate tables in separate sections, and you'll find that when a link is already present in the body of an article, it is usually not linked again, even if REPEATLINK says "once per major section" is fineβ€”you can see GAs and FAs for this standard. Besides, you clearly noticed I had removed the links, which were only added late last month. They were not present up until that point, therefore WP:STATUSQUO and WP:BRD apply as I was reverting to the way the page was. Please do not manually revert an edit restoring the way the page was (BRD). I don't believe readers are aided by the same links that are present in the table directly above. I really don't believe readers would jump to the monthly chart table alone and skip the weekly one, therefore I believe most readers have already encountered those links by the time they reach the monthly chart table. Ss112 08:08, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

Then why List of UK Albums Chart number ones of the 2000s, a featured list, repeatedly hyperlink/wikilink the same artist(s) and/or album(s) in a different subsections? Also the List of Gaon Album Chart number ones of 2010 to List of Gaon Album Chart number ones of 2016 have all repeated links in monthly chart table but no one bother to de-link those. So MOS:STYLEVAR applies before that non-existent STATUSQUO of yours and it should be the same from 2017 to 2024 lists. It is also said in MOS:REPEATLINK: Duplicate linking in stand-alone and embedded lists is permissible if it significantly aids the reader. This is most often the case when the list is presenting information that could just as aptly be formatted in a table, and is expected to be parsed for particular bits of data, not read from top to bottom. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ β€’ [πšƒπ™°π™»π™Ί] 10:11, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
98Tigerius, I have nothing to do with those lists as I did not create them and have either never or barely ever edited them. The lists you just cited are also longer and more complete than this. While it's a deletion-discussion argument, the logic of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS applies here: just because there are other instances of repeat-linking on Wikipedia doesn't mean it needs to be done everywhere, or that because I have a standard I'm following that I'm going to seek out contrary instances and apply my preference everywhere. While the part you just quoted is talking about repeat linking within the same table, the idea of linking in adjacent tables is why I just said I don't believe readers are aided by the same links that are present in the table directly above. I really don't believe readers would jump to the monthly chart table alone and skip the weekly one, therefore I believe most readers have already encountered those links by the time they reach the monthly chart table. Ss112 10:53, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
Yes, you have nothing to do with those list nor I but there should be "consistency" in those related list articles. And why would you follow your own standard and preference? Please read WP:OWN. Anyways, we will never have a agreement as we see things differently so I will seek a third opinion to settle this once and for all. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ β€’ [πšƒπ™°π™»π™Ί] 11:36, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
@98Tigerius Seeking a third opinion to settle something once and for all is not the way Wikipedia works, but FWIW I agree with @Ss112 who has far more experience here than you and has cited well-established Wikipedia policies which you are ignoring. I suggest you move on. Shantavira|feed me 11:55, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
There doesn't have to be "consistency" in list articles or on Wikipedia in general because articles are written and worked on by different editors. I don't think that I "own" an article merely because I reverted to the way it was, hence STATUSQUOβ€”the way it was for months before an editor added the repeated links last month. You also misinterpreted what MOS:STYLEVAR applies to. It doesn't apply to nor does it even say it applies to sets of articles (e.g. number-one lists for a certain chart)β€”it applies to individual articles and unnecessarily changing the style of it from one to another. Ss112 12:12, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

UAAP 86 Awardees

Hi, Von here. Just wanted to mention that I believe the awardees should have their full names as these are official awards, and it has been the precedent in the past pages of the tournament. Otherwise, consistency should be applied, and have the past pages updated to reflect this. Thanks Voncabriga (talk) 06:29, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

Just to add, not having the full name or at least using the nickname mashes the awards seem informal. Some of the nicknames also weren’t mentioned or referenced in the page, and may cause some confusion as to who the awardees are to someone who doesn’t follow the tournament. Just my two cents. Hierarchy (TV series) edit unconstructive?

Why did you revert this edit I made to the page of the TV series Hierarchy as "non-constructive"? I was doing simple copyediting because the previous sentence wasn't written correctly (it was missing a verb to tie everything up) and adding a citation because the text in the lede didn't seem to be restated with a citation in the body. I see no reason as to why my edit would be unconstructiveβ€”I wasn't vandalizing or adding unsourced info or anything. Wuju Daisuki (talk) 21:56, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

There's no need to changed it as that's the rank of the 24 teams that competed from last year's Olympic qualification tournaments. If you want to modified then do it in FIVB Senior World Rankings. 98πšƒπ™Έπ™Άπ™΄πšπ™Έπš„πš‚ β€’ [πšƒπ™°π™»π™Ί] 08:59, 20 May 2024 (UTC)

Re: Reversals of category changes

Hello, next time you see some issue with my category edits please just let me know so I can fix the issues myself, instead of engaging in mass reversals which only make edits more complicated for everyone. Thanks, Nemo 19:11, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
