Medical definition of “supervene” edit
In March 2022, User:Kku (talk) used the automated User:Edward/Find_link tool to link the word “supervene” in the page Genu varum. On that page, the term was used in its specialized medical sense, but the Supervenience page on Wikipedia is about the philosophical idea, so this link was not accurate in context. Subsequently, User:Kelly222 (talk) saw this and decided to add a sentence to the top of the latter page about the medical definition, stating “This article needs a bit of work” in the edit log. This one sentence had almost no detail and was unsourced, and it mangled the topic introduction of the philosophical article, especially in a hover-preview context.
I am about to revert both edits. If the medical definition of “supervene” is notable enough, it could be created as a separate page with a suitable disambiguation page, or left as a sentence on a suitable disambiguation page, but I have no wherewithal to judge that right now. Note that English Wiktionary does not currently describe the medical meaning of “supervene”, but Merriam-Webster [1] attests to its existence.
