Welcome edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 69.159.70.156, removed content without giving an explanation. Please always provide an informative edit summary when removing content from pages. If 69.159.70.156 is a shared IP address and you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors and further irrelevant notices.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Cassiopeia talk 03:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

April 2024 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Alfonso Márquez, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thanks,NeuropolTalk 15:38, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good Day -
Please be so kind as to advise exactly why there were rejected items as all entries are straight facts from sports historians.
Seems almost every time we receive rejection notices like this none of you always different Wikipedia editors appear to know a thing about sports ?
Will now look forward to your response to above ASAP.
Thank You - 69-159-70-156 - 69.159.70.156 (talk) 17:40, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @69.159.70.156, thank you for inquiring. The reason that I removed your content was not due to its truthfulness, but it was due to a manual of style issue. As mentioned here in the manual of style for biographies of living persons, specifying a living person as being "native born" may be correct, but does not provide much value, and is therefore not suggested by the manual of style. If you still disagree, I would be happy to discuss it in order to reach a consensus and the most productive result. Thanks,NeuropolTalk 18:31, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! thetechie@wikimedia: ~/talk/ $ 00:29, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:TheTechie. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 13:40, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on User_talk:Cassiopeia#TWA_not_working. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 15:25, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Alec Zumwalt, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:28, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

April 2024 edit

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 01:32, 20 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Callanecc - Sir or Miss -
Good Day -
Have never heard from you or received anything from you at any time previous to this block - ??? -
Who are you and where exactly do you report from to make these entries as it seems many of you people are not at all familiar with anything to do with sports / military matters - ??? -
Additionally, times at bottom of messages are always hours off from time of entries - ??? -
Therefore, please be so kind as to explain in detail exactly why this number - 69.159.70.156 - was blocked - ??? -
Everything entered now and / or has ever been entered for many years is always 100% correct / 100 % accurate being a military and sports historian / researcher / biographer, however there are many instances where there is no other background information to point to in order to prove such although if any of you seemingly unknowing Wikipedia editors / administrators were to ever do any minimal looking on your own you would find no problems -
Why would you not do this at any rate to see if you could counter any entry / entries as to acuracy / correctness instead of placing any form of block - ??? -
No sensible person is going to ever waste their own time to enter anything which is wrong / incorrect / inaccurate/ bad if they have done the work / research -
Why would they - ??? -
It seems not at all right to place a block on anyone for anything for any reason at all whatsoever and not provide a detailed reason to accompany same -
People are making these various entries of their own free will only to help / assist Wikipedia to be better but doing something like placing a block will only drive even more of these ' volunteers ' away -
Will next look for a response at your earliest convenience -
Thank You Very Much. - 69.159.70.156 -. (69.159.70.156 (talk) 02:45, 21 April 2024 (UTC)).Reply
