September 2017 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Episcopal Conference, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Your recent editing history at Nostradamus shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. One issue I raised is the need for secondary sources. New Tang Dynasty Television, Epoch Times, and minghui.org are all Falun Gong outlets, and so WP:PRIMARY sources. With the secondary academic source that was needed to begin with, those additional references aren't needed. Even with the secondary source, though, there was still the issue of phrasing, which I've fixed. Your phrasing made it sound like anyone outside of Falun Gong believed that Nostradamus was talking about Falun Gong. Ian.thomson (talk) 22:52, 23 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Note edit

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Title IX, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. TJH2018talk 16:19, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to RT America. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:03, 5 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

August 2018 edit

Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that in this edit to Higher education in the United States, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 01:57, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for fixing the edits. I thought I was restoring the version which you restored thereafter. In fact, you had made more edits previously so my revert was a mistake. Sorry for the error. So I am striking the above message. Donner60 (talk) 02:11, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
