But for all the other missing television programmes I have been involved with writing articles about on Wikipedia, we have always used past tense, because they do not exist, and nobody has ever made an issue of it before. Skiffle page

Hello! I'm curious as to why you reverted my small edit to the Skiffle page, to the Viper's version of Don't You Rock Me Daddy-O. I changed the text from "original version" to "earlier version" (I admit I was not signed in at the time). This was because my reading of the first text implied that the Viper's record was the original version of the song, which is not the case. To my ears, they are the same song - Wally may have a songwriting credit for the Vipers version but the song had already been recorded in a virtually identical state before he was born. I suppose we do have to go by songwriting credits though! Bmbmjs (talk) 15:27, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking of Uncle Dave Macon's 1927 version, titled Sail Away Ladies, which has the same melody and chorus as the Vipers' and Lonnie's, differing only in the floating stanzas used to make up the verses. Bmbmjs (talk) 08:56, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Dylan page number

Hi 650 Norton (1951), forgive this trivial query but... you've just added p. 33 as the page of Sounes that specifies time & place of Dylan birth. John Birch

Hi Norton, I'm puzzled about 'John Birch'. You've gone through The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan article removing the word 'paranoid' from the title. But when The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991 was issued, the track is called "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues" and that is how John Bauldie's booklet describes its history.
