October 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Aston Villa F.C., but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Famous fans thing edit

Hello. There's longstanding agreement that football club pages shouldn't contain lists of people who supposedly support that club. If someone's support for a football club is genuine and relevant to that person, it should go in their article, and only in exceptional circumstances in the club's. Additionally, entries in such lists are usually poorly sourced, which raises problems with Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy. This opinion was confirmed in a discussion at Talk:Aston Villa F.C.#Famous supporters, so that's why the list is being removed. Thank you for your understanding. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:47, 1 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
