July 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Mike Love has been reverted.
Your edit here to Mike Love was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://manvsclown.wordpress.com/2006/07/21/why-i-hate-mike-love/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.

However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.   I noticed you have made some recent changes to The Beach Boys without explaining the change in the Edit summary. Any future edit on this page without meeting those requirements will be considered vandalism and reverted back to the previous post. Going forward, please refer to Help:Edit summary to educate yourself on how to properly edit a page, as per standard, to avoid a potential conflicts as has been indicated here. In regards to this page specifically, please refer to the talk page of The Beach Boys lineups. There is a topic called "The Stamos Debate" that justifies this revert and will not be added in such category as per WP:compromise. The majority has spoken and luckily, we did not have to use WP:arbitration. If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to tag my talk page. February 2018 edit

You have repeatedly added detailed, unsourced, and often speculative information about Australian elections to year articles. I'm not going to remove them, except speculative information about individuals, but I will add {{cn}} and {{importance inline}} tags to each.

  • Please do not remove the citation without providing a single reliable source for ALL the information included. Wikipedia is not a reliable source. (See WP:SYNTH for reasons why a single source may be required.)
  • Please do not remove the importance tags without discussion on the individual talk pages, or on WT:YEARS.

Arthur Rubin (talk) 14:19, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

  1. I've concentrated on the Australian elections because they were added (or significantly expanded) recently. I deal with other elections as they are changed.
    • I've noticed no entries for changes in party leadership for any other country, whether or not it results in a change in the prime minister.
    • I've opposed inclusion of US Presidential primaries, elections, and inaugerations, but I realize that the removal of standards makes it unlikely my views will be considered.
  2. You've added more detail than should be in the "(year) in Australia" pages; much more detail than should be in the "(year)" pages. One link each for the event and the person taking power should be adequate, without commentary (even if properly sourced) should be adequate.
  3. "Consequently", and other connections between material from different sources, must be in the second source. See WP:SYNTH for details.
If you do not trim the material, I'll propose an RfC later this month. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 12:46, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bryan Conquest, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:29, 14 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
