Discretionary sanctions notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Some serous problems with your edits edit

Hello, I notice that you have been doing a lot of edits to the AJK and G-B district pages. While you are welcome to do so, there are some issues that I need to point out. In this edit to Nagar district,

  1. You have added a "flag" of Gilgit-Baltistan. WP:INFOBOXFLAG says you are not supposed to. Eve if you do, there is no reliable source that states that Gilgit-Baltistan has a flag.
  2. You have removed coordinates and haven't explained why you are doing so.
  3. You also removed elevation without any explanation.
  4. You have added a precise number for population, with no citation. It is not clear where this number has come from.
  5. You have made the two tehsils into a list, but didn't take care of the citation that went with them. So the citation is now dangling.
  6. More seriously, you added the wording "as part of the Pakistan government decision to create more administrative units in the region". How do you know there was a Pakistan government decision?

You are also making too many edits at one go. You are not writing any edit summaries. In future, you need to correct all these problems. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 00:43, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
