Hello, I'm Shellwood. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Norman conquest of England— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Shellwood (talk) 13:15, 14 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop changing the heading used in reference sections. Per WP:CITEVAR and MOS:NOTES, Wikipedia allows a variety of referencing styles. The chosen style in any given article should not be changed without good reason and prior discussion. SpinningSpark 14:54, 14 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Clear template

edit

Why are you adding clear templates ({{-}}) to the bottom of reference sections? This makes no visible difference to the page in most cases and is unnecessary clutter. Many of your changes, like adding spaces to titles and capitalising {{Reflist}} also make no difference as well as being inconsistent with the rest of the page. At times your editing is bot-like, making these changes en-masse in a short space of time. If you are going to edit like a bot, you need to comply with the bots guideline and seek approval at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval. In particular, you should not perform edits that only make no visible difference to the page or its operation. SpinningSpark 17:25, 14 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
