Taffy Abel edit

Why are you including info about Taffy Abel, on all the NHL team pages? GoodDay (talk) 16:50, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Taffy Abel is to Hockey as is Jackie Robinson is to Baseball. They both broke the color barrier. Perhaps some (a) white people do not like (b) non-white people. The NHL has about 94% white players. By far the highest of any major sports league. 47.201.79.196 (talk) 17:06, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Bring your concerns to the talkpage at WP:HOCKEY & make your argument there, for adding Taffy Abel. GoodDay (talk) 17:09, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
That is quite the hyperbole. One does not equal the other. Did they break the color barrier? Perhaps you're right about that. But it was not nearly as much a landmark in history, comparing how much of a deal Robinson was in his league; certainly not so much that you have to paste it on every single team, in the lead no less. You don't see Robinson pasted in every MLB team's article in the way you did; he mostly has the presence he currently has here because his number was retired league-wide, like Gretzky would later be. I imagine there's probably a good place for him somewhere in the Rangers article, but that's about it. Wikipedia is not the place to bring what appears to me to be a race crusade. dannymusiceditor oops 17:12, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
There was a "race crusade" of systemic racism in the NHL from 1917 to 1967. Hardly any BIPOC players then. Taffy Abel was 'the first' Indigenous BIPOC player with the New York Rangers in 1926. And now in 2022, Gary Bettman, the White NHL Commissioner wants to Culturally Erase Taffy Abel as well as that earlier 1917 to 1967 era. Those are 'facts' which can be substantiated. So, if there is a talk page on this for Wikipedia, please email me at jonesge@yahoo.com and provide your idea which pages these facts can be put on besides the NHL and New York Rangers Wikipedia pages. 47.201.79.196 (talk) 17:29, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also IP, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "some white people do not like non-white people" bit. GoodDay (talk) 17:20, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
