The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hello, welcome and thank you for your efforts to improve the Jerry Saltz entry. His political views certainly could be an encyclopedic topic if there is adequate secondary source coverage for us to summarize: remember that WP is a tertiary source, just summarizing the findings of reliable secondary sources, not giving our own findings. The difficulty is right now we only have one reliable secondary source that only devoted six sentences to Saltz, so that section in the entry is as long as the source we are basing it on, which tells us we don’t have enough to go on yet. For what it’s worth, this is pretty common—a tweet may get a lot of Twitter attention but that often doesn’t translate into reliable sources writing up substantial accounts that we can summarize. A better bet is usually to look for profiles of the person that may discuss their politics. Hope that helps! Innisfree987 (talk) 22:28, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
