Orphaned non-free media (Image:ACC-logo.JPG) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ACC-logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

FYR Macedonia at the Olympics edit

Why did you move those pages? According to the IOC here, the "Former Yugoslav Republic" prefix is still used in the Olympic context. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 16:43, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, apologies... I automatically assumed that as the nation had changed it's name, so to would the Olympic team. Rather strange it has not, but I suppose it has to do with the Greeks no liking the usage of 'Macedonia'. I see you have already reverted the changes I made, so no need for action on my part, but I will be more attentive for such things in the future. Robert Fleming (talk) 12:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, there is a huge amount of conflict even on Wikipedia when it comes to Macedonia (see WP:Manual of Style (Macedonia-related articles) for the consensus), so you need to tread carefully in those waters! As long as the IOC continues to use "FYR", so shall we for the Olympic articles, in agreement with that MOS page. Thanks! — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 15:50, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
