Mercenary edit

Hi, my OE dictionary has something like "Of persons: working merely for the sake of money or other reward, actuated by considerations of self interest", "Hired, serving for wages or hire, Now only soldiers".

Do you have another source for a broader definition of "mercenary"?

The BBC ref has "One day in 1998, he phoned his parents to tell them he had decided to join an organisation called the KLA. ....In fact, it was the Kosovo Liberation Army with whom he had decided to fight against the Serbs in the Balkans."

I can see that its possible he was "serving for wages" but don't see that possibility confirmed by the reference.

Intriging - I thought it was illegal for Australians to work as mercenaries? And I guess the Australian government would have loved to have something to charge him with. SmithBlue (talk) 13:09, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Userboxes edit

I still have NThurston's userpage on my watchlist, but he has not edited since July 2007. See Wikipedia:Userboxes and Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria for policies on the use of non-free images in userboxes. --— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 12:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cricket edit

Hi, I noticed that you have been creting new cricket club articles. WHat struck me as odd thouhg, is that they all have an identical "legacy" section, and all seem to have an empty history section. Is there any specific reason why you did things that way? Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 14:38, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for getting stubs going on the Pro Cricket pages. Something I've been meaning to do for a while.--Eva bd 15:04, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
