You have a response, although it doesn't seem all that helpful. If you can be very specific about the problem you are having logging in, they might be able to help you at WP:VPT.
Also, you can talk and use the sandbox, but it just won't show that the edits belong to the username you have used. This may or may not be a problem. Some people don't want their IP address known.
