Your edits to palm articles

edit

I have reverted your edits to Phoenix canariensis, Phoenix theophrasti and Chamaerops. In some cases, you have re-added content that was removed by me or another editor. In cases like this, you should discuss your changes on the article's Talk page, see the guidelines at WP:BRD.

  • Regarding your changes, the Canary Islands are not botanically a part of Europe, but rather of Africa, specifically Macaronesia. Botany articles follow the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants/World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions. So Phoenix canariensis is not native to Europe for botany purposes.
  • Your changes are unsourced and are original research. Anything beyond a trivial edit must be supported by reliable sources. see the guidelines at WP:RS and WP:OR.
