Georgia highways navbox edit

See my comments or look at WP:USRD/P. Such a navbox is not going to happen, and if you did create it, it would be nominated for deletion and 12–17 years of precedent will be cited to have it deleted. In short, you can stop trying to fill in your example on the talk page and save yourself the effort. Imzadi 1979  23:51, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Draft:American state highways edit

I've redirected that draft. We do not need a fork of that article with listings for every state highway in the country. There's a reason why those lists are kept separate, most notably because such a massive page would violate MOS:SIZE. Imzadi 1979  23:02, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

August 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Isabelle Belato. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Bill Wurtz—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Isabelle 🏳‍🌈 23:03, 27 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

"Important" streets/highways/roads/etc. edit

Please stop creating these drafts. The choice of the word "important" would require specific sourcing, and in all probability, such a listing would be way too long to accommodate under MOS:SIZE and WP:Summary style.

We don't need huge lists on these topics, we don't need more navboxes, so I suggest that you find better outlets for your editing energy. There are many articles that could use copy editing or expansion (with sources!), so maybe that would be a good idea. If not, you might find your time editing Wikipedia short and frustrating. Just to follow up with my earlier comments, there's already a WikiProject devoted to these topics. You can ask questions over at WT:USRD, but I would caution you that lots of little edits to a talk page clutters the watchlists of interested editors. We don't need you to pitch a new navbox on the talk page and then use a dozen edits to start building a malformed example of it. A quick description of your idea is usually all that's needed for others to get a sense of a proposal. If not, they'll ask.
You will also want to take a look through WP:USRD/P, which is the precedents page from the project. There's also a search box for the talk page archives for the project. USRD has been around for 17 years now, and it's quite possible that some ideas have already been floated before, or that similar templates have been deleted long ago for reasons you don't know/understand. Maybe something has changed since then and the consensus would be different, but then again, maybe not and those reasons are still just as valid now.
Trying to work outside the system is not a good use of your time and energy. Failure to discuss when people take time of their busy days to offer advice or feedback is also a bad sign. It's also a bad sign to keep proposing and doing things against consensus. In either case, you may find your ability to edit withdrawn. Imzadi 1979  10:09, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
