PLC Space force

edit

Is an arm, not a seperate bransh, thus is not an independant space force. Slatersteven (talk) 14:41, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

An Arm and Service are both military branches. The Russian Space Forces were still an arm and not a service, yet they were considered an independent space force. 2600:100E:B02A:F9C4:7539:7D52:4F07:8B73 (talk) 14:45, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Which means it should not be there either, as it is not an independent command. "A space force is a military branch of a nation's armed forces" not arm. Slatersteven (talk) 14:51, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Both services and arms are military branches though. Currently Russia has the Strategic Rocket Forces and Airborne Forces as an arm, not a service, but they are still considered independent branches. 2600:100E:B02A:F9C4:7539:7D52:4F07:8B73 (talk) 14:56, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
The sources you are adding do not say it only deals with space. Slatersteven (talk) 15:07, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can you please show the source I referenced that says what it does that is not space? Everything I'm seeing says it does space only. 2600:100E:B02A:F9C4:7539:7D52:4F07:8B73 (talk) 15:13, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Only space, a source must say it only deals with space. Slatersteven (talk) 15:17, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
We have sources calling it the PLA Space Force and all of the sources say it deals with space. It is impossible to prove a negative.
I did not say "does not operate boats" or even "only operates spacecraft," I said "it only deals with space", in other words, its sole focus is space-related operations. Just as a navy does not only operate ships. Its called wp:v, a source must explicitly say it. None of your sources say it is a dedicated space force. The best you have is one calling it a space force. Slatersteven (talk) 15:26, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
