April 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Uday Kotak, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Instead you replaced data that was supported by citations, and left your data next to the citations for the old data, turning them into fictitious references. Your edit has been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 10:46, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Uday Kotak, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:50, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for making an effort to provide a citation for your third effort at changing data in the article on Uday Kotak. You made two mistakes, so I have reverted you.

  1. You "cited" a Wikipedia article. But Wikipedia articles are user generated content. They are not considered a reliable source.
  2. You left the old citation in the article next to your new data. But the citation supported the data you were trying to replace.

Please could you read the following before you attempt more edits to Wikipedia:
