I will say that I am glad to have helped you, but please don't walk away with the impression I am very experienced in this sort of thing. I'm a newbie editor who just happened to be on AN/I and figured I'd make my thoughts known. The folks at the TeaHouse are much more adept at this stuff than me. Also, it's incredibly funny to me that two users from the 2001:::: range were in the same thread.MJLTalk 02:47, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MJL: Thank you for your clarification, I understand now. As for the other IP user, yes I find it rather odd that another IP user posted comments in the report I opened up. I know that they said that they were an "unrelated IP editor" but I was worried somebody might think we were the same people because of how similar our numbers were. I noticed however that they geolocate to Redmond, USA whereas I geolocate to Melbourne, Australia. Anyway, thank you very much for your help. I have come to learn a bit more about the Wikipedia rules. (2001:8003:4E41:F200:D4E4:2CCD:F855:F14D (talk) 03:13, 12 June 2019 (UTC))Reply
[Thank you for the ping] I've come to find that IP editors are more likely to stick up for their fellow IP editors when they notice something going down like that. Also, the geolocation thing is common knowledge as well yeah (the other way is to use Special:Contributions/2001:8003:4E41:F200:D4E4:2CCD:F855:F14D/64 to see the edits made on a given IPv6 range.
I do find the whole idea of ip editing rather interesting from my view of things. Certainly, very few studies have been done on the subject (besides obviously the one on vandalism you mentioned before). –MJLTalk 03:37, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MJL: I agree, it is very interesting. After reading that article you sent me about how IP users are humans too, I started to wonder about the overall experience of IP users as a group. It's also interesting how you said, "I've come to find that IP editors are more likely to stick up for their fellow IP editors when they notice something going down like that" because I'm now even more interested in understanding the overall IP user experience. Hopefully they do some more studies in the future. Thanks for your comments. (2001:8003:4E41:F200:D4E4:2CCD:F855:F14D (talk) 15:29, 12 June 2019 (UTC))Reply
It's no problem! Also, it's so awesome of you to consistently ping me. Most people never do that, but then the conversation gets lost in my watchlist. I do hope you take care and have a positive experience editing this website! :D –MJLTalk 16:02, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MJL: Thank you very much MJL, I really appreciate your words and I hope the same for you too! :D (2001:8003:4E41:F200:2856:C0E7:1585:5A7B (talk) 01:24, 13 June 2019 (UTC))Reply
