Hello! I noticed your contributions to Prince and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Prince edit

I have reverted your good-faith changes to Prince for now. Such extensive removal of content is best done after discussion on the article's talk page. If particular sections are unsourced, and are not causing problems such as potential libel, it is often better to source or tag them rather than removing them hastily. Certes (talk) 10:49, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Certes: It's been years since I've changed for over time, by removing unsourced sections, and hatnotes that is linking to articles that are related to the topic, and others to make it minimal. 112.204.220.67 (talk) 13:41, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

June 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Tysska. I noticed that you recently removed content from Prince without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Hate speech, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Specifically, it's worth noting that the MOS gives exceptions for short description size where necessary. I appreciate your attempt to cut it down but it still must have value to the reader. Thanks, SamWilson989 (talk) 11:33, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm John Yunshire. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Frame rate have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. John Yunshire (talk) 07:30, 9 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Quercus robur, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Plantsurfer 17:11, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Plantsurfer: Short descriptions are too long, as per guideline on WP:SDFORMAT as stated "be short – no more than about 40 characters". 112.204.220.67 (talk) 22:10, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hatnotes (WP:RELATED) edit

Hi,

I reverted your recent deletion of the hatnote at The King and I (1956 film), and noticed that you had deleted similar hatnotes from other pages. The advice at WP:RELATED is that "This guideline does not discourage the use of disambiguation hatnotes in a situation where separate topics are related, but could nonetheless be referred to by the same title and would thus qualify for disambiguation, such as a book and its film adaptation (e.g. The Lord of the Rings and The Lord of the Rings (film series))."

In this case, two films, a stage musical, and a number of other works share the same title, so a hatnote link to a disambiguation page seems useful and appropriate. I was about to revert the similar change you made to The BFG, but thought I would first ask why you feel such hatnotes are not useful.

Best wishes,
