Date formats edit

Hello 111.94

I'm a little puzzled by the messages you keep posting on my talk page and elsewhere about the date formats. It's not really very complicated. If the article has strong links to a country with one variety of English, for example the UK, the USA or Australia, the article uses the format from that country. This is explained at MOS:TIES. For any other topic, which includes those from South Korea and China, which have no specific links to any English speaking country, the guideline is to stick with the variant chosen in the first significant length version of the article. This is explained at MOS:RETAIN. This does mean that sometimes articles on related subjects will use a different format, but that's the way we do it and it usually doesn't cause much controversy. It is rarely appropriate to change the style on individual existing articles, as you have done on some Korean topics recently. I hope this clears things up, but let me know if any aspect of the guideline is unclear to you. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 08:40, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

You know Emperorbma ? Their change BoA article use American date Format (MDY Format) at 2004 the original format is British date Format (DMY Format) by Angela, on 2003 and the suspect made articles of South Korean articles use MDY format is Alexanderlee to look South Korea article like US and so the articles never deleted by Wikipedia Administrators ? 111.94.202.92 (talk) 15:48, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

This has been explained MULTIPLE times now, on various talk pages with multiple IPs asking the same questing using the same links as examples.. The first non-stub version of BoA used MDY, and it has used MDY for over fifteen years now. If the date format is so confusing to you then don't worry about it, there is no reason for you to go around changing date formats anyway. Now please, stop tagging me in various places to ask the same thing. Alex (talk) 16:06, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

and why the Chinese figures use British date Format (DMY Format) not American date Format (MDY Format) like South Korean articles Alex ? 111.94.202.92 (talk) 07:37, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

How many times does the question need to be answered? Alex (talk) 14:50, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Can you help me, repair the Article not Korean or Chinese but Other Country like Angel Tee & Nadia Vega use South Korean date format, the article was broken by Hacker was disguising be Wikipedia Administrator Alex 111.94.202.92 (talk) 15:59, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing to "help" there, the articles don't need repairing. There's no reason to change the date format. Alex (talk) 16:04, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

You only repair article Angel Tee & Nadia Vega (otherside Korea), not change date format 111.94.202.92 (talk) 16:20, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is absolutely no reason for the date format to be changed. Alex (talk) 23:07, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
