Welcome! edit

Hello, বঙ্গভূমি, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Chhattisgarh have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  - Arjayay (talk) 12:56, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Andaman and Nicobar Islands, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 13:01, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Meghalaya. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - Arjayay (talk) 13:04, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Meghalaya. - Arjayay (talk) 14:07, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Recent edit to Ashoke Sen edit

Hello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Ashoke Sen article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Wikipedia and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 11:16, 8 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Script edit

Please stop introducing Bengali script into articles on topics that are not exclusively related to Bengal. If you're interested in promoting Bengali language, please contribute to the Bengali Wikipedia. utcursch | talk 00:10, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Language warring edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia as you did at Siliguri. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted. Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.

March 2017 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:28, 23 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Siliguri, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 13:02, 31 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Scripts edit

As you've been told earlier, please stop inserting unnecessary scripts. Many of these articles are not specific to Bengalis, and scripts are not suitable as per WP:LEADCLUTTER. If you love your language, and want to promote it, please contribute to the Bengali Wikipedia. utcursch | talk 13:15, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Recent edit to Durga Puja edit

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Tito Dutta (talk) 17:49, 9 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

India's national anthem edit

Thank you for your good faith, but incorrect, recent edit in India, about India's national anthem being the original Bengali version of the song by Tagore. The government of India portal Know your India, however, says that it is the Hindi version. Accordingly, your edit has been reverted. Since this is the second or third time you have made this edit, I am posting this on your talk page so that we have a record of the source for both you and me. Best regards for your continuting success on Wikipedia, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 08:35, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ratha-Yatra, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mahesh. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WP:INDICSCRIPT edit

Please review. Thanks. El_C 06:27, 30 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Bardhaman, you may be blocked from editing.
You have repeatedly been warned about language warring and Indic script, but continue re-adding it, even when, as at Bardhaman abd Kolkata there are specific instructions NOT to add Indic script.
You have already had one block, if you continue, you will be blocked again - but for longer, or even indefinitely - Arjayay (talk) 12:28, 10 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Bankura district. - Arjayay (talk) 10:09, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Shovon (talk) 06:02, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
