Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you twice added or changed content in an article, Jabir ibn Hayyan, but you didn't provide a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think the editor who reverted you made a mistake, you can discuss it on the article talk page (Talk:Jabir ibn Hayyan). Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 14:02, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Jabir ibn Hayyan does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing the article's history – as you can see, the person who reverted you left very good edit summaries.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! -- Toddy1 (talk) 14:05, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not edit while logged out

edit

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to User talk:Apaugasma and to Talk:Jabir ibn Hayyan while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 13:45, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to User talk:Apaugasma, can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Please do not accuse other users without evidence, as you did here and here. I will continue to remove such messages from my talk page (see WP:OWNTALK), but if you continue this, you risk being blocked from editing. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 13:56, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
