Saira, Scottish artist and teacher born in 1970 in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. She currently lives in Ireland with her family.
Saira began "doodling" in art since she was a child. Drawing people has always been a passion of hers and from 2010, she began studying anatomy to improve her skills. Her website, Saira Zhang demonstrates a fascination for children's expressions, especially little asian girls.
Currently, Saira is in the process of producing a workbook to help those who wish they could draw but can't. She describes it this way, "In an average sized class of around 30 pupils, there may be only 2 or 3 who could be described as having artistic talent. This book is for the other 27, in which I include myself." Drawing is not taught in schools to any great extent, creativity is but Saira believes there is something missing. She hopes her book can contribute to that gap. More details will be provided in the future.
