The following is a list of 2010 Minnesota tornadoes. Minnesota is a state located in the North Central United States along the northern edge of Tornado Alley, and on average receives 24 tornadoes per year. 2010 was an record-breaking year=, with XYZ confirmed tornado touchdowns.

After a round of elevated convection from the early morning hours of the May 24 drifted off to the northeast, a surface warm front was left along the North Dakota and South Dakota border by mid morning. By mid-afternoon the warm front had pushed north to a Jamestown to Bemidji line. Behind this front, afternoon temperatures had increased to around 90 degrees with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. Two tornadoes touched down in Northwest Minnesota during the mid-afternoon hours.[1]

Corn stalks had their leaves stripped, a home was damaged, a barn was destroyed to its foundation and tree debarking was spotted. The tornado strenghtened to EF3 near County Roads 17 and 73 and grew to 500 yards (457 m) wide. Three swine barns were destroyed causing the loss of 12 head of swine. A 150 feet (46 m) wind turbine was twisted and toppled, and crops were destroyed beyond recognition. The tornado continued to cause damage to farms and crops near County Roads 4 and 89. The tornado then grew to 1,000 yards (914 m) wide and acheived EF4 strength. It complete destroyed a farm house, a barn and several other buildings 2 miles (3 km) north of Conger. Debarking of trees was widespread at this location, and a car was moved 3,200 feet (975 m) 175 miles per hour (282 km/h). The tornado then began to weaken, causing EF3 damage to a home near County Road 46. Farther NNE a swine barn was destroyed and a satellite tornado developed and caused damage in the town of Amrstrong (see below). The main tornado weakened to EF2 and shrunk to 500 yards, causing damage to more farmsteads. It then crossed Interstate 90 and caused EF3 damage to several farmsteads between Sugar Lake and County Road 14. The tornado continued to strenghten and grew to 1 mile (1.6 km) in width, impacting more homes near County Road 25. The tornado then weakened to EF2 near County Road 29, where it damaged grain bins. The tornado continued to weaken and dissapated west of Harland about 7:15 pm. |
